The Forgotten Crossbow sidearm in Mortal Shell 2 is in the Flooded Village dungeon just northwest of the Blackridge Pass beacon. You can enter it by breaking a wooden slat barrier to reveal an illusion gate and walking through that gate. Once inside, you must collect the Damp Key from the porch of an elevated house in the back-left corner of the dungeon and then use it to open a locked door that blocks the room with Mortal Shell 2's Forgotten Crossbow.

Enter the Flooded Village
The Forgotten Crossbow is in the Flooded Village, a dungeon just northwest of the Blackridge Pass beacon. Here's how to enter it:
- Start at the Blackridge Pass beacon and follow the path shown on the preceding map.
- Kill the enemies in the area at the end of this path.
- Destroy the wooden slat barrier on the stone platform to reveal an illusion gate.
- Stand on the west side of the gate and look through it at the stone building. This will remove the barrier blocking the entrance to the stone building.
- Walk through the gate, enter the stone building, and descend into the dungeon.
- When your path is blocked by a metal gate, destroy the crates on the left side of the room to reveal a square plate on the wall. Press it to raise the gate and ride the elevator down to the Flooded Village.
Get the Damp Key
Once you're in the Flooded Village, you need to get the Damp Key, which can be found on the porch of an elevated house in the back-left corner of the dungeon. Here's how to reach it:
- After getting off the lift, follow the wooden slat path right to reach the structure with wooden scaffolding. Use this structure's wooden stairs to descend to the bottom of the dungeon.
Look right just before the first flight of wooden stairs to find a locked door. That door is opened with the Damp Key, and the Forgotten Crossbow is beyond it.
- Go right at the bottom of the stairs to navigate around the long wooden structure in front of you.
- Use the roofs and wooden slat bridges to reach the elevated house.
- Collect the Damp Key from the top of a metal crate on the porch.
Use the Damp Key
With the Damp Key in hand, return to the structure with the wooden scaffolding you descended when you entered the Flooded Village. Climb the two flights of wooden stairs and use the key to open the locked door at the top. Enter the room beyond the door and collect the Forgotten Crossbow.
A portal that lets you return to the entrance of the Flooded Village appears in the room after taking the sidearm. Before you use it, you may want to spend some more time exploring the dungeon. In particular, you may want to locate the Grisha, as it awards a Grisha Remnant permanent pickup when defeated.
