Mortal Shell 2: All Map Fragment Locations

There are 11 Map Fragments to be found in Mortal Shell 2, and gathering all of them will reveal the full map. Five Map Fragments can be found in Fainweald, the northern part of the game world, and 6 more can be found in Mammon, in the southern part.

All Map Fragments are found on distinct statues where Ruk, your crow guide, perches. The locations of these fragments are marked through the fog of war, but because you can’t see the exact layout of the world through the fog, it’s hard to know which route to take to get to them.

The following table details the location of all map fragments you can find in Mortal Shell 2. These map fragments are listed in the order they’re supposed to be unlocked, in accordance with the recommended game progression route.

There are 5 Map Fragments in Fainweald.

Map of Fainweald 4

From the Widow’s Overlook beacon in Fainweald, head southeast to the place where you unlock Tiel. Right outside of this encampment will be an updraft. Take the updraft, and it will lead you directly to the statue with the Map of Fainweald 4.

Map of Fainweald 3

From the Widow’s Outskirts beacon, head straight north and you’ll easily reach the Blackridge Pass beacon. From the Blackridge Pass beacon, look to the left, and you’ll see the statue with the Map of Fainweald 3 on an island just below you, accessible via some nearby bridges.

From the Mushroom Village beacon east of Widow’s Outskirts, head southeast to reach the Mushroom Village Gate beacon, right next to the Corrupted Gate. Near this beacon will be a series of crisscrossing wooden bridges over a chasm.

Take the bridge that leads north, and it will lead you directly to the One-Legged Wolf beacon. Right behind this beacon, just a little ways up the slope, will be the Map of Fainweald 5.

Map of Fainweald 1

From the Outskirts of Nochte beacon, go northwest, past the two crabs, and then turn east. Go through the arch to enter the Hag’s Path area. You’ll find the Map of Fainweald 1 statue right in front of you.

To reach this location, the fastest way is to take the Bone Gate located directly south of the Widow’s Overlook beacon, then keep going southwest until you reach the Nochte region.

Alternatively, you can also go south from the Citadel of Penance, take the Bone Gate that leads to Desolate Peak, and then go south some more to take the Bone Gate that teleports you to Prophet’s Rest (where you find Smert). Drop down from the bridge here and go east, and it will lead you directly to the Outskirts of Nochte beacon.

Map of Fainweald 2

The Map of Fainweald 2 is found inside the Citadel of Penance, at the very top of this castle. First, you’ll need to enter the Citadel of Penance. There are two ways to do this:

• Defeat the Bloodcursed Lithopod in the ravine south of the Gloomshade Grove beacon to get the Citadel Gate Lever item, which can be used to open the main door to the Citadel of Penance, located directly west of the Gloomshade Grove beacon.
• Interact with the Coin Pouch found in the building northeast of the One-Legged Wolf beacon, and you’ll be teleported directly inside the Citadel of Penance prison. Break out of prison to enter the main area of the Citadel.

Regardless of which method you use, climb to the top of the Citadel to find the Map of Fainweald 2.

There are 6 Map Fragments in Mammon.

Map of Mammon 5

From the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, go down the slope to the west, and it will lead you directly to the Map of Mammon 5, right next to the catapult used to fire the Makeshift Projectile item.

Use the Bone Gate southeast of the Outskirts of Mammon beacon to enter the Abbey area. Head east and use the Bone Gate at the end of the stone bridge to reach the Abbey Entrance beacon.

From here, go up the stairs, turn right, and then go down the stairs to reach the other side. Look across from you, and you’ll see the Map of Mammon 1 statue in the large circular tower right in front of you.

Directly underneath this statue is a chest containing a Blackmarrow Key. Drop down from the nearby scaffolding to reach it.

Map of Mammon 6

The Map of Mammon 6 is found right next to the High Lord Courtyard beacon in the western part of the Ruins of Mammon. To reach here, take the Bone Gate southwest of the Outskirts of Mammon beacon to reach the Abandoned Outpost beacon.

From here, go up the mountain behind the beacon and take the Bone Gate there to reach the bridge that will take you to the High Lord’s Keep. Explore this area to find the High Lord’s Courtyard beacon, and you’ll find the Map of Mammon 6 right behind it.

Map of Mammon 4

From the High Lord’s Keep beacon, head south until you reach an elevator that will take you down to a Bone Gate that teleports you right next to the Gate of Mammon beacon. From here, go up the stairs east of the beacon to reach the lonesome spire area.

Circle around the spire by hugging the outer wall while using the scaffolding to reach the other side. Once you see solid ground below you, drop down and go south to reach a large field with lots of black corruption tendrils. The Map of Mammon 4 will be right in the middle.

Map of Mammon 3

From the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, head straight south and go to the end of the large stone bridge that extends out the southern side of the island. At the end, you’ll find a Bone Gate that will lead you to the Castigator’s Keep.

Enter the Keep, turn right, and go up the stairs to find the Castigator’s Keep beacon. Go back down the stairs, and you’ll find that the gate to the right is locked. Hug the wall to the right and walk along the scaffolding along the outer walls of the keep.

Ignore the broken wall on the right that leads you into the interior of the keep. Keep going straight, and at the end of the path, right next to the mountain, you’ll see an archway to the right. Enter, and it will lead you right next to the Hall of Murmurs dungeon. From here, go straight west, past the Grisha Hunters, and you’ll find the statue with the Map of Mammon 3 right in front of you.

From the Hall of Murmurs dungeon, which you discovered while going to get the Map of Mammon 3, look north and you’ll see a small staircase that goes up, and then right. Follow this path, and it will lead you to an elevator that will take you to the Starved Harridan boss fight in the Vestige of Infinity.

After you defeat the Starved Harridan, you’ll get the Voltaic Essence, which will unlock the doors in the southern part of the arena. Enter through this gate, and you’ll find the Map of Mammon 2 up the stairs and to the right.
