It's MIP Monday ⭐ Meet Alexis S.! Alexis is spending this summer with the Philadelphia Office of Human Resources, bringing creativity, curiosity, and strong attention to detail to her work. She continues to apply her creative mindset while exploring the field of human resources and public service. This summer, Alexis has supported Classification and Compensation projects by identifying missing data, reviewing files, and gaining experience with FLSA regulations. She has also completed research on credential-based bonuses and turnover for 2025, connected with employees across different OHR subdivisions, and supported recruiters at special events and operations at the SEPTA distribution center. Cybersecurity is a year-round commitment in city government. October highlights Cybersecurity Awareness Month, but Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation & Technology works every day to strengthen the City’s digital defenses and build a consistent culture of cyber awareness. Last year, 91% of City employees finished cybersecurity training. In 2026, we are aiming even higher. This year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Training equips employees to identify current threats and vulnerabilities, use strong passwords to protect sensitive information, recognize and avoid phishing attempts, and know when and how to report incidents. The goal is confident, timely responses that reduce risk and keep services reliable. Leaders can accelerate progress by setting clear goals, making time to practice, and connecting policies to everyday work. When daily choices align with security standards, resilience grows across the enterprise. Philadelphia is raising the bar in 2026. We are committed to completion, measuring our momentum, sharing our wins, and turning awareness into daily practice that protects public trust.
