Streets Department crews have been busy this spring repairing roadways across Philadelphia! This year, the “One Philly Pothole Squad” have repaired over 26,000 potholes plus other roadway defects such as the cave-in and cobblestone repairs seen in the video. Glenn Johnson with our Central Maintenance Unit said it best: "The work I do, I take pride in it because these are our streets. I have to drive down them, my kids, my grandmother, you know, everyone in my family. So I take pride in my work, and my crew also does as well. So that's what we do for the city to keep our city moving." Please report any roadway damage you see to 311. When traveling near crews, slow down, pay attention, and give them space to do their work.

Monday through Wednesday just got a whole lot better, Philadelphia! Weeknights Live is expanding citywide — bringing live performances from local artists to hotels and neighborhood commercial corridors three nights a week, 6 to 9 p.m. This program is about more than nightlife. It’s about investing in our artists, energizing our businesses, and showing the world what this city is made of. A huge thank you to the Philadelphia Department of Commerce Nighttime Economy Unit and Creative Philadelphia for bringing this vision to life! Come out and experience it. https://lnkd.in/eWsQubKk Thank you to our partners: Marriott Hotels, Autograph Collection, Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, Aloft Hotels, Loews Hotels & Co, and the Philadelphia Police Department.

Looking back at one of our City’s iconic stretches in our #250Rewind. Designed by architect Jacques Gréber in 1917 to emulate the Champs-Élysées in Paris, France, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway offers a cultural heart of the City connecting the Art Museum to City Hall in Philly. The one mile long walk features major museums like the Rodin, parks including Logan Square, and has been the main host location for several of Philly’s largest events. 📷 Dept. of Records and Free Library of Philadelphia
