The one that started it all and a masterpiece of sci-fi fantasy cinema. I love this movie so much. It stimulates your imagination like nothing else. Remarkable characters throughout the the production is a marvel. Can't believe they were able to create so much with effort, creativity and ingenuity.

The film will always go down as one of the most iconic stories because it kick-started the entire Star Wars franchise, but the film isn't without its issues. The new CGI from the 1990s are painfully obvious at times, and Luke's reaction (or lack thereof) of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's death will always rub me the wrong way.

The Star Wars movie that started it all and still holds up decades later. A New Hope will go down in history as one of the most influential sci-fi stories, for the following reasons: Relatable characters, state-of-the-art visuals, and masterful world-building.

This is without a doubt my favorite Star Wars movie, and it beats out all the TV shows as well. A New Hope has a good pace, strong world building, and characters who are lovable.

The strongest start a franchise could ask for. ANH is on a roll from start to finish, never feeling dull for a second and setting to a universe begging to be fleshed out. Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie are a fantastic team of heroes that continue to inspire to this day, Vader and Tarkin are terrifying foes, and the supporting cast is full of characters easy to love, with incredible special effects.
