Here's what Prime Video exclusively shared about the characters:

"While Durin and Disa's children have always had a presence on the show, in Season 3 audiences will finally meet their daughter, Gerda (played by Amber Mendez-Martin), and son, Gamli (played by Lee Braithwaite), both of whom are now energetic teens. Over the five-year gap since Season 2 these two royal children have grown up in Khazad-dûm, watching their parents lead the Dwarves as a united front against the threat of Sauron’s growing power. And though they might be young…the siblings find themselves playing a critical role in the growing unrest deep within the mountain kingdom."

Inspired by the real-life FTX collapse, The Altruists is a limited series depicting the fall of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle) and his business partner/girlfriend, Caroline Ellison (Julia Garner). The duo finds themselves at the center of the scandal, which also involves the accusation that they stole $8 billion in cryptocurrency. The cast is also highlighted by Matt Rife, Hudson Williams, Jennifer Grey, Paul Reiser, and Alex Lawther. Here's an exclusive quote from Jacqueline Hoyt, who serves as a showrunner, executive producer, and writer for The Altruists:

"The headlines you may have read about Sam and Caroline were nowhere near the full story. Like all of us, they are complex individuals: philanthropic but ambitious, well-intentioned but flawed. We worked hard to incorporate this dichotomy into the scripts, and knew we needed the right actors who could convey their complexity on screen. We feel so fortunate to have found our Sam and Caroline in Anthony and Julia, who embodied and elevated every aspect of the complicated characters we dramatized in the series."

However, Tim, Luke, and other Institute survivors find that there are similar facilities around the world. The MGM+ series is an adaptation of Stephen King's 2019 novel and first debuted in 2025. Season 2 also stars Mary-Louise Parker and Game of Thrones' Alfie Allen.
