Send confirmation emailI have been a Trekkie since I was about 10. There isn’t a Star Trek movie or series that I can’t write I am 63 years old and I still follow all of Star Trek I watch rerun after reruns if I have too that’s how much I love them shows. Section 31 is not star trek
We have enough movies dominated by kickboxing and gun fights, no need to take over star trek just to do more of that. These production line stories where you could swap in any buddy-buddy, loveable rogue groups and slap a major franchise title on do not add to the Star Trek story.
Plot holes and unwatchable cinematography.
A disappointing journey from start to finish. Star Trek: Section 31is a mess of a story that removes consistency from it’s character in favor of trying the Marvel route of trying to make scenes memorable while being more underwhelming than any star trek before it.
It deserves a zero rating... So bad. Who thought this would be a product anyone would enjoy?!?
It's absolutely awful. It's a complete travesty of Star Trek and its lore. Section 31 should never be made into a series. Whoever wrote the script should be fired and not allowed to write for media, TV, film or any publication again.
A forgettable film. When it was over i was like Oh. Wont get back those 2hrs.
It's a shame. Was expecting more of a spy movie and less of the action.
Really didn't like the robot/microbe character. It was like a children's tv presenter.
Shame I had high hope. Tv series would be better. Time to develop plot and characters.

I’m a big Michelle Yeoh fan. But I’m really disappointed in this movie. It never quite figured out what it was trying to be. . It was an OK action movie, but it was only tangentially in the ST universe. And it really wasn’t about anything compelling. I expected there would be a lot of section 31 mayhem involved and secret tribunals and such. None of which occurred. ST has to do better if they want to continue as a franchise. This was a movie made by a committee. A bunch of folks sat around the table and brainstormed about how cool it would be to have a new Star Trek movie with Michelle. Yeoh. Too bad that’s as far as it was developed. I understand that MY didn’t really want to commit herself to a series which is fine but, it’s really too bad because she would been awesome if she’d had something to work with.

Ugh, ugh, ugh. Yes, set up the hero as someone who murdered her family, just brilliant. The characters were unlikable, the dialogue and interaction were forced, corny, and awkward, the CGI was meh, and IT WASN'T STAR TREK. I pray we never see these characters again.
Oh dear. Wasn't sure what to expect but this movie just did nothing for me. It could have been an episode of any random sci-fi series. I love Michelle Yeoh but she was the only good thing about it. Seemed disjointed and hastily put together. BUT ..... I'm going to watch it again. Tomorrow is another day and, in fairness, things needed to move on from "Enterprise" referenced series. Trouble is if this is going to be one movie and no episodes, I think it may just be the "garbage scow" in star trek history. Hope I'm wrong.
They could've made a really great movie with the premise of the show.unfortunately, they chose to go for cheap jokes and annoying characters with a very thin plot and infantile "humour seemingly aimed at a non-existent preteen audience.
Gotta love how Star Trek went from "Let's question everything, including ourselves; let's seek out new life and the many wonders of existence; let's treat each other and ourselves with respect and understanding," to "Check out this dollar store marvel movie about how it's ok to commit atrocities so long as you make laughably sloppy gestures toward the American culture war, brought to you by Carl's Jr."
a fun, thoroughly enjoyable sci-fi flick. I didn't care it had little to do with Star Trek canon. I had a blast watching it.

well i do hate when tv shows or movies rely on numbers to think every one will what all at same time ,...any way i think there should been tv show origins beginning of section 31 , and so would and could gather fan base , then on longer story movie could work ....... so jump into movie with no real form is wild card some will hate it been to fast other love for been alive ,other be 50/50,.....i realy hope that this not the end of things ......... as said beginning storyline of star fleet and how 31 was born ,the start up and training and failing mission to then go even deeper into hiding in shadows ,so missions impossible with the blacklist element's in form of star trek theme
I've been watching Star Trek since the first one featured on television back in the '70s. I have seen everything they've done. And it has all been good. The critics should shut up. Because they're ruining the future of Star Trek for the rest of us. Would they prefer nothing? That is the alternative to trashy comments by critics., nothing! Good job on section 31 great job on the entire Star Trek franchise kudos.

The only “success” of this mess is that it holds the title of being the worst Trek ever. It’s Trek for the age of Trump.
I liked this Star Trek movie and hope there is a series to come.
It was pretty weak but I watched the whole thing and ended up enjoying some parts of it. Honestly it shouldn't have been called section 31 it should have been called something related to Georgiou's redemption.
It seemed to really suffer from the translation from TV show to streaming movie.
Initially I was disappointed by this movie however given while watching it I napped several times I thought it worthwhile to give it a second watch. While I definitely thought it a great movie I also didn't find it 'Trekky' enough. A thoroughly entertaining movie on its own but not quite enough to be a part of the franchise. I enjoyed it more than I expected and lowering my expectations of 'Trekness' helped. Could have been better, could have been worse

Innovative Star Trek endeavor. Section 31 appears to be a fun exploration. Adventurous and thrilling experience. An epic complete in 90 minutes. A team effective as any Enterprise bridge, manning a junk hauler. It appears Starfleet may have more Borg Queen hunters than we previously may have thought. Section 31 is like an opportunity to get access to new Legendary Star Trek characters in the making, without having to play Star Trek Armada. Every cinematic 'Hue' I would expect from a Rachel Garrett Star Trek movie. Too hot cooling. Star Trek has enlightened us to a greater Star Trek universe where the essence of the Star Trek creative production process becomes experiential in a compact short movie, without the need to keep up with Star Treks most loyal fan base. Star Trek: Section 31 is batting at attention in the knot of all that is Star Trek, and on base in the Star Trek lineup. If Data still isn't explaining how he always knows when to be on the bridge, then maybe there's more Section 31-es'Q' 'Tapestry' in the unknown 'Cause and Effect' sectors of Data's Star Trek 'Lore'. I watched the final three episodes of Star Trek Picard again, just now with the new news about the Star Trek enterprise concerning the plans for successful completion of Pike’s story for now that truly enhances the franchise. Personally, I find it a bit lacking that Star Trek fails to present the true nature of the Sun and the Earth, while maintaining a presentation of silent respect for the vast truths about the origins of life and the universe. It is fascinating to note about the methods of presentation used by Star Trek Picard in showing how good wins over evil in the scenes where Data uses ethically based reasoning to outsmart his evil brother Lore, the lack of assistance from Q as Picard and his crew save humanity using their own intelligence, followed by the return of Q to the Enterprise G.
