Konami Press Start showcase announced for September 3

A new Konami Press Start showcase will be held on September 3, 2026, it’s been announced. The presentation airs at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe.
Konami says fans can look forward to the “latest news and updates”. In terms of Nintendo-related games, we know that Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse and eFootball Kick-Off will be display. Other confirmed titles include Silent Hill Townfall, Rev. Noir, and Project Zircon.

August 18: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch on August 27, 2026, finally giving players on Nintendo’s platforms the chance to experience Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Konami joined other publishers today in announcing its lineup for the 2026 Tokyo Game Show.
The company will be showing off Nintendo Switch 2 / Switch games Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Ganbare Goemon Daishugou, eFootball Kick-Off, Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027, and Super Bomberman Collection. Silent Hill: Townfall and Suikoden Star Leap will be on hand as well.

Konami, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin have now revealed the voice actors for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. This comes courtesy of a new trailer that just went live today.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will feature a lineup of acclaimed performers from across games, film, and television. One of the highlights is Liam O’Brien, who is reprising his role as Isaac from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness more than 20 years ago.

Following hands-on verdicts of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, an interesting tidbit has come to light about a joke that’s been updated in Metal Gear Solid 4.
In the original release, after reaching Shadow Moses Island, the game referenced changing the discs of the first Metal Gear Solid when you reach this same location. Otacon says: “Hold it, Snake. Time to change the disc. I know, I know, it’s a pain. But you need to swap Disc 1 for Disc 2. You see the disc labelled ‘2’?” Snake then says there isn’t a second disc, prompting Otacon to realize: “Oh, wait! We’re on PlayStation 3.”

The first Nintendo Switch screenshots for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse are in, and depending on who you ask, this version of the game might be looking a little rough.
Pre-orders for the title started on the Nintendo eShop this week. That’s brought us six different images to look at, and this is actually the first time we’re seeing the Nintendo Switch version at all.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will be here before you know it, and Konami has now provided extra information about the package, going over frame rate and resolution for all platforms – including Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
First, for frame rate, you’ll get a maximum of 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. For Switch 1, the action taps out at a maximum of 30 FPS.

Konami and Evil Empire have now set the release date for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on Nintendo Switch. The game launches on October 15, 2026, they’ve announced.
A lot of uncertainty was surrounding the Nintendo Switch version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Last month, Konami confirmed the October 15 release date on most platforms. When it came to the Nintendo Switch version, however, the company only said it would launch in 2026.
