Everspace 2: Galactic Edition gets surprise Nintendo Switch 2 release

Out of nowhere, Everspace 2: Galactic Edition has come to Nintendo Switch 2. Fans can pick up the game starting today via the Nintendo eShop.
Everspace 2: Galactic Edition is an all-in-one content bundle combining Everspace 2 with Everspace 2: Titans, Everspace 2: Wrath of the Ancients, and the Everspace 2 Supporter Pack. The game provides a capped 30 FPS experience with more than 50 hours of story and side content. Players can explore ten star systems filled with more than 120 handcrafted locations.

Touki Denshou Angel Eyes is this week’s Console Archives game on Nintendo Switch 2

Hamster has announced Touki Denshou Angel Eyes as the latest Console Archives game for Nintendo Switch 2. It comes out tomorrow, August 13.
Touki Denshou Angel Eyes originally made the 32-bit fighter in 1997. Various features are available, including a story mode.

For its latest Arcade Archives release, Hamster has announced V’Ball for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Expect to see it tomorrow, August 13.
Technos Japan originally made the game in 1998. In the sports game, players will step into the shoes of two young men who enter a volleyball tournament.

The action RPG has arrived on the console with enhanced textures, improved lighting, increased view distance, a modernized user interface, smoother and more responsive combat, and numerous community-driven fixes and stability improvements.

Crimson Desert dev comments on status of Nintendo Switch 2 port, targeting first half of 2027

Pearl Abyss has commented again on the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Crimson Desert, providing the most encouraging update we’ve had thus far.
In its latest earnings letter, the company said that it’s now “currently playable at a foundational level, and technical evaluations are underway to ensure performance optimization and compliance with our quality standards.” The other piece of important news is that the port is targeting a first half of 2027 launch.

Stairway Games has shared the news about Funguys Swarm, which is about to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2. The game is slated for August 25, 2026.
Funguys Swarm is a chaotic cartoony survivor bullet hell game. Players will fight the Fireking’s army to save a burning forest as one of over ten mushroom heroes known as Funguys.

Stardew Valley – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch 2, Fangamer has announced. Copies will ship on February 5, 2027.
Stardew Valley – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition contains version 1.6, with free updates available for download as they’re released. Each copy includes an 18-page, fully illustrated manual. Also note that the physical version is compatible with the original Nintendo Switch.

Aspyr just announced The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Legacy Edition, and it’s launching today on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch (in North America, August 18 in Europe).
This is an updated version of the 2011 action RPG. Quality-of-life improvements include the ability to hot-swap characters, refined enemy-target locking, improved UI/UX with the addition of Health, Mana and EXP bars for party members, a new autosave feature, gyro control support, 60 FPS gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2, and numerous additional bug fixes. Nintendo Switch 2 also has local split-screen.
