Regular oak, spruce, birch, super birch, jungle, and poplar[upcoming:Third Drop 2026] trees can generate as fallen trees. Any variant trees such as fancy oaks, 2×2 variants, or trees with bee nests are not able to be replaced by fallen trees.
Therefore, fallen trees can be found in all biomes where their standing tree variants grow, except the following:
Fallen trees consist of a single upright log, making the stump, and a log (composed of a row of log blocks) lying on its side, making the trunk. The trunk is often found 1–2 blocks from the stump, but does not always generate. Fallen trees have the following trunk lengths:
Oak: 4–7 logs
Birch: 5–8 logs
Super Birch: 5–15 logs
Spruce: 6–10 logs
Jungle: 4–11 logs
Poplar: 4–7 logs
Fallen spruce and birch trees can generate with 1–2 red mushrooms on top of it; fallen poplar and birch trees can generate with 1–2 brown mushrooms on top of it.[verify] The stump has a 75% chance to generate with vines growing on its sides, except fallen spruce and birch trees. Fallen poplar trees can also generate with shelf mushrooms on their trunk.
