How to Equip Armor in KCD2 

Armor System in KCD 2 is designed to be historically accurate, which means it requires multiple layers for full protection. Just wearing a metal plate isn't enough, you also need padding and extra layers.  For your head, you should wear a coif or hood under your helmet. This helps absorb hits and protects against injuries. Under your metal chest armor, you'll need a gambeson, a thick padded shirt. It cushions blows and makes wearing armor more comfortable. 

Under your metal leg armor, wear a quilted hose. These padded pants reduce the impact of attacks on your legs. If you're using spurs while riding, make sure you're wearing the right shoes. Spurs give you better control of your horse. Layering your armor like this gives you better defense and lowers the chances of getting seriously hurt in a fight.
