Mail Breaker is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Mail Breaker enables precise armor-piercing thrusts and excels at critical hits while remaining extremely lightweight. Piercing Swords are specialized thrusting weapons ideal for breaking an enemy's poise and exploiting openings for critical damage. They feature a fast, unique moveset of rapid consecutive attacks, including a far-reaching horizontal swipe that replaces the standard kick. Effective when wielded in either hand, they can also be used to parry.

Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered Mail Breaker Notes and Tips:

Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
One of the lightest weapons in the with some daggers and fist weapons.
Has a slightly higher critical modifier than the other Piercing Swords, but its AR being significantly lower on any upgrade path will result in less damage dealt for both regular attacks and critical hits.
Also shorter than other Piercing Swords.
Overall, its characteristics make it similar to a dagger in term of use cases.
Demon's souls version: Different in appearance but similar in move set.
The Dark Souls 3 version of this weapon is instead a dagger using thrust attacks.
All Piercing Swords possess a hidden +40 critical damage bonus, making them exceptionally deadly against heavily armored foes.
