Zariel Tiefling is a Subrace of Tiefling in Baldur's Gate 3. Zariel Tiefling have Darkvision and Hellish Resistance as racial bonuses. While creating your Character in Baldur's Gate 3, you can choose between 11 different types of races. Each of them has their special characteristics and some of them have Sub-Races which provide different Features and Traits.
- BG3 Full Game Note: In the full launch of Baldur's Gate 3, Ability Score Points for Races that were present in Early Access are removed. And instead, Ability Score Points in the full game correspond with the Class players will choose.
Tieflings from Zariel's bloodline are empowered with martial strength, and can channel searing flame to punish their enemies.
Zariel Tiefling Traits:

- Level 1:
Thaumaturgy. Manifest your supernatural power to gain Advantage on Intimidation and Performance checks. - Level 3:
Searing Smite. Your weapon flares with white-hot intensity.
Long Rest. - Level 5:
Branding Smite. Possibly marks your target with light, preventing it from turning Invisible. Long Rest.

Tiefling Features
Base Racial Speed: Move up to 
9m per turn.
Darkvision: See in the dark within 12m.
Hellish Resistance: Your blood protects you from flame, abyssal or otherwise. Gain Resistance to 
Fire.
Zariel Tiefling Tips & Notes
- During Early Access, the Zariel Tiefling race used to feature +2 Charisma and +1 Intelligence. This has been changed in the full launch of BG3 and the Ability Score points are now associated with the Class that players will choose.

Anyone know Legavy of Avernus: Searing Strike interacts with Flame Blade? Will the attack be based on the spellcasting stat (like in the case of flame blade) or will it just not work properly?

Legacy of Avernus: Searing Smite at level 3 - (Weapon Dmg) + (Modifier) + 2d6 Fire dmg
Enemy takes (Weapon Dmg) + (Modifier) + 2d6 Fire dmg every turn unless successfully rolling a Constitution save. (Patch 4)

But I don't see anything that would do that. Thaumaturgy hardly does that.
do smite uses increases with more spellslots are is it just one per long rest?
