Forge's Friend is a Unique Great Hammer in Avowed. Great Hammers deal extremely high damage and Stun. They also have high Block Efficiency, allowing them to Block with low Stamina cost. However, they swing very slowly with a very high Stamina cost.

Centuries ago across the seas, this hammer was created in the White Forge at Durgan's Battery. It was not originally intended to be a weapon of war, rather a tool that could be used to break down exotic materials for use in far more ambitious weapons. Still, its usefulness in the hands of a skilled warrior is undeniable. Some of the magic of the White Forge lives on in this hammer, able to cause painful burns to those it strikes. On occassion, the fire within can even manifest as a living force to aid its wielder.

How to get Forge's Friend in Avowed

Forge's Friend can be obtained at the following Location:

• In the Galawain's Tusks region, The Forge's Friend is hidden behind a locked door in Mt. Forja. You can grab this weapon easily without picking the lock: head to the Mt. Forja entrance and use the Charge skill to climb the steep, seemingly impassable ledge.

Enchanting Forge's Friend in Avowed

Unique Weapons have two starting Enchantments when picked up. At Enchanting Stations, players are able to replace the Primary Enchantment by selecting one of two available options. This selection will REPLACE the starting Primary Enchantment.

Enchanting requires specific Enchanting Materials and Currency. It is important to note that this process CANNOT BE UNDONE. Choose wisely when selecting an enchantment.

Enchanting Materials consist of a variety of Monster Parts, like Bear Claw or Primal Flame.

Avowed Upgrade Table for Forge's Friend

Forge's Friend can be upgraded by using the Workbench with Materials and gold.

Unique Weapons can be upgraded in 1 rarity from +0 to +3, with the next upgrade after +3 increasing its rarity and changing the materials required to upgrade it. Unlike Standard Weapons, Unique Weapons have also a fifth and final tier after Superb, which is called Legendary. This fifth tier allows Unique Weapons to be upgraded further than the standard counterparts.

Upgrading Forge's Friend will only upgrade the Physical Damage and Stun stats.
