The main story of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced follows Edward Kenway's journey from an ambitious pirate to the captain of the Jackdaw, taking players through 12 Sequences packed with naval battles, exploration, and memorable characters.
Once the credits roll, though, you might be wondering what's actually left to do. Thankfully, the Resynced version adds a huge amount of new content on top of everything that already existed in the original game. Here's everything you can jump into after completing the main story.
What to Do After Completing the Main Story in AC Black Flag Resynced
A World Without Gold
The biggest piece of post-story content is the brand new A World Without Gold chapter, which introduces Maynard as its main antagonist.
Unlocked after completing Sequence 11, this optional chapter features eight new missions and eventually rewards you with a new weapon for the Jackdaw. While you don't need to complete it to finish the main story, it expands on the aftermath of Blackbeard's encounter with Maynard and is easily one of the best additions for both returning and new players.
Officer Quests
AC Black Flag Resynced introduces three new Naval Officers that Edward can recruit for his crew. Although two of their questlines become available shortly after Sequence 4, you can comfortably leave them until after finishing the story.
Completing every Officer Quest not only gives you more background on each character, but also unlocks powerful Jackdaw abilities and is required if you want to progress further through A World Without Gold.
Side Quests
Now that the main story is behind you, it's the perfect time to tackle the game's many side quests. Most of these are brand new additions, including Blackbeard's Treasure, Captain Stede Bonnet's questline, Art Lover, Damn Fine Gear, and the hunt for the Mayan Steles scattered across the Caribbean. Each one offers unique rewards while giving you another reason to explore the world.
Hunts & Contracts
Just like the original game, there's no shortage of activities if you enjoy combat. You can complete Assassination Contracts, Naval Contracts, and Templar Hunts, all of which reward you with large amounts of money, useful resources, and even legendary outfits. They're also a great way to earn enough Reales to purchase the more expensive ship upgrades.
Exploration
The Caribbean is packed with islands waiting to be explored. You can search for hidden treasures, collect crafting materials, capture forts, and uncover secrets. There are also underwater diving locations where you'll search for treasure while avoiding sharks lurking below the surface.
Naval Combat
Sailing the Jackdaw and taking on enemy ships remains one of the biggest highlights of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. As you continue upgrading your ship, you can capture enemy vessels to expand your Fleet and send them out on missions for additional rewards.
Once you're looking for a real challenge, however, it's time to hunt down the six Legendary Ships. These are easily the toughest naval encounters in the game, but overcoming them is well worth the effort thanks to the rewards and satisfaction that come with sinking them.
