Its Manhwa itself was adapted by Redice Studio starting in April 2020, and it’s still ongoing, even today. Fans of this Manhwa will be thrilled to learn that it’s finally getting an anime. It was officially confirmed that Overgeared is getting an adaptation by Japanese studio J.C. Staff. While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed, we now know that it’s coming in October 2026, which means its premiere is just a couple of months away. For this massive reveal, a teaser trailer was also unveiled to set up fans’ expectations, and surprisingly, the anime adaptation looks quite exciting.

When talking about popular Manhwa series turned anime, no series can compare with Solo Leveling by Chugong. Solo Leveling was officially released in January 2024 and shook the world by becoming a top series globally. On Crunchyroll, it broke records that other series could never even dream of achieving, such as becoming Crunchyroll’s highest-rated anime of all time.

Now, fans expect more amazing Manhwa series to be made into anime, especially some of the big hits that Studio Redice is behind. Aside from Overgeared, other series have already been confirmed to get anime adaptations, with the biggest of them all being Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. The anime for ORV is coming in 2027, much to the excitement of thousands of fans. Tomb Raider King is another series by Redice, and it is getting an anime even sooner in July 2026.
Slowly but steadily, Manhwa are growing significantly, and more stories are getting adaptations. The future is definitely bright for Redice Studio's works, and hopefully, more incredible adaptations like Solo Leveling come out instead of lackluster and rushed works.
