Introduced officially in One Piece Chapter 1044 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #17 on March 28, 2022, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is one of the most powerful Devil Fruits to exist in the world of One Piece. This Devil Fruit was eaten by the protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy, at a very young age, and its true abilities were brought forth only after its awakening in Wano. Since its debut, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, has maintained a monopoly over the throne of the strongest Devil Fruit, but that has changed with the climax of the Elbaf arc, which has officially introduced two mighty Devil Fruits capable of even surpassing Luffy's Nika fruit 4 years later.
These incredibly powerful Devil Fruits are Nerona Imu's Akuma no Mi, which stands at the pinnacle as arguably the new strongest Devil Fruit in the world of One Piece, and, along with it, the potential Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza fruit, which can essentially cancel the abilities of all other Devil Fruits that exist in the world of One Piece by using their one biggest weakness, and that is water.
Elbaf Arc's Climax Introduces Akuma no Mi and Sets Up Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza
The climax of the Elbaf arc of One Piece introduced two of the most powerful Devil Fruits to us, both of which are more than strong enough to rival and potentially even surpass Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. In One Piece Chapter 1179, released on April 6, 2026, in WSJ Issue #19 Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, officially revealed Nerona Imu in the flesh for the very first time. Along with this reveal, Imu's Devil Fruit ability was also unveiled, and it was officially named Akuma no Mi.
Immediately after, in One Piece Chapter 1182, which dropped officially in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24 on May 10th, 2026, Eiichiro Oda set up yet another mighty Devil Fruit, and that is Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza. This Devil Fruit, just like the Nika Fruit, is a God ability that was first teased in One Piece Chapter 287 in the Skypiea Arc on August 11, 2003. Simply put, this Devil Fruit allows the user to turn into the Rain God that presents itself to prayers for the rain. The Rain God has the ability to bring a heavy downpour and essentially flood an entire terrain within a matter of seconds. The flood water is incredibly dangerous to any Devil Fruit user, as it can completely sink them and prevent them from utilizing their ability completely, making the God tremendously overpowered against Devil Fruit users.
Akuma no Mi Stands As One Piece's Ultimate Devil Fruit
While Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is powerful, Imu's Devil Fruit Akuma no Mi ability is on a completely different level. Imu's Devil Fruit is quite different from every other fruit that exists in the world of One Piece. While all Devil Fruits have a double naming pattern, such as Hito Hito no Mi, Goro Goro no Mi, Soru Soru no Mi, and Kobu Kobu no Mi, to name a few, the Akuma no Mi only has a singular name, and it literally translates to "The Devil Fruit," suggesting a hierarchical superiority over all other fruits. The powers of the Akuma no Mi allow Imu to turn into a devil and utilize a power that he calls "God's Domination," as officially confirmed in One Piece Chapter 1180, which was released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 21 on April 20, 2026.

Imu's Devil Fruit is quite versatile. Not only does it turn him into a devil god, but it also allows him to turn nearly anyone into his demonic slave. Even characters as strong as Rocks D. Xebec can be one-shot using Imu's powers, as shown officially in One Piece Chapter 1162, and that is what makes him truly deadly. Imu can take down an entire nation within a matter of seconds and slaughter millions without even breaking a sweat. What's more, Imu's fruit also allows him to use what he calls his military might, and that's an ability known as Omen or Maki. This special power presents itself as black flames that can morph into various weapons, such as bullets and bombs, and can even be used to enhance both defensive and offensive capabilities. A single strike from Omen is enough to take down characters like Zoro and even deal deadly damage to someone like Sanji, who already has a very tough exoskeleton.

Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza Can Cancel All Devil Fruit Powers
On the other hand, the full power of Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza has not been shown in One Piece just yet, but in the MMA version, this God has already proven to be deadly. Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza allows the user to essentially cancel out any Devil Fruit abilities. After Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi, this is the only Devil Fruit ability that is capable of cancelling out other Devil Fruit abilities by causing mass flooding and sinking entire terrains. It would essentially prevent any Devil Fruit user from using their ability properly and weaken them immediately.

Furthermore, even the body of the Rain God Zaza can be used to sink characters, as seen officially in One Piece Chapter 1183, which was released officially on May 24, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #26. Rain God Zaza is tremendously overpowered, with power capable of sinking entire countries and causing mass destruction via the means of flooding. Most importantly, it can cancel out the abilities of characters like Nika and even the Devil God Nerona Imu if utilized properly, making it one of the deadliest Devil Fruits to exist in the world of One Piece.

One Piece's Final Saga Will Introduce More God Fruits Rivaling Nika
With the Akuma no Mi and Rain God Zaza fruits already rivaling Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, there is now a precedent for other Gods to be introduced in the series that would go on to rival him. First and foremost is the Devil Fruit of the former Warrior God of Elbaf, and that is Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr. This Devil Fruit was officially introduced in the series in Chapter 1175, which was released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #14, on March 2, 2026. This Devil Fruit is incredibly overpowered, as it allows the user to transform into the largest dragon in the entire world and manipulate lightning. It is an ability worthy of making the user the God of War of Elbaf and making them fight on par with Sun God Nika, as was officially stated in Chapter 1175.
Then, there are two God abilities that are yet to be introduced, and they are the Forest God ability as well as the Earth God ability. Both of these Devil Fruits were teased officially in One Piece Chapter 287, which mentioned the Sun God, the Rain God, the Forest God, and the Earth God all at once. With two of the four now in the story, the other two are set to appear, and when they do come to light, it is highly likely that their power will be in the same range as the other two Gods of the One Piece world.

All these upcoming abilities are sure to excite us when they are revealed, and more than that, they will prove to be a worthy match for Luffy's Nika ability. By doing this, Eiichiro Oda will not only raise the stakes in the Final Saga but also make the story even more exciting despite the protagonist turning into a literal God.
