New supply agreement with Ovako Group! #GreenIron has entered into a supply agreement to process residual materials from Ovako’s steel production. The materials will be processed at GreenIron’s site in Sandviken, with operations planned to start this year and ramp-up volumes in 2027.   By recovering and reusing iron-bearing materials, the collaboration supports Ovako’s efforts to achieve more circular and fossil-free steel production.   We look forward to working together to advance sustainable solutions for the steel industry! #GreenIron #Ovako #SteelResiduals #Circularity

Since receiving the environmental permit in April 2024 for our Sandviken site, we’ve progressed from construction to commissioning, and are now ramping up commercial production. Strengthening GreenIron’s Management Team   We are pleased to announce that Axel Hillelson (Chief People & Culture Officer) and Katarina Bergegård (Chief Marketing & Communications Officer) have joined GreenIron’s management team. Earlier this year, Malin Perman (Chief Strategy Officer) also joined both the company and the management team, further strengthening our leadership as we continue to scale our carbon-neutral metal technology.   Together they bring strong expertise in people and organisational development, strategy, and communications - important capabilities as GreenIron continues its growth journey and industrial expansion.

Congratulations to our CTO, Linda Ahl, on once again being recognised on the 40 over 40 list and as a candidate for Årets Fe 2026! 🌟 We are very proud of Linda’s leadership and impact. As CTO at GreenIron, she is a key technical force in the industry’s transformation, playing a pivotal role in advancing fossil-free metal production. With deep expertise and inclusive, forward-looking leadership, she helps drive both our company and the wider industry forward! The 40 over 40 initiative and Årets Fe, led by Jernkontoret, Svemin and Industriarbetsgivarna, highlight the experience and leadership essential to building a more competitive and inclusive mining and steel industry. We are cheering on all the candidates and look forward to the announcement on 5 March.

We are pleased to welcome Malin Perman to Greeniron H2 AB, joining us in the newly created role of Chief Strategy & Business Development. In her role, Malin will be responsible for developing and implementing GreenIron’s long-term strategy, while driving business development to ensure sustainable growth, profitability and competitiveness. Malin joins us from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she worked as a management consultant across a broad range of industries and assignments, from growth strategies and market analyses to large-scale transformation programmes, implementation and follow-up. We are excited to have her on board as we continue scaling GreenIron and executing on our business plan. Welcome to the team, Malin!

Last week, GreenIron’s Metallurgical Advisory Board met in person at our HQ to discuss the company’s progress, priorities and the path ahead. Turning by-products into value ⚙️♻️ Every year, more than 5 millon tonnes of steel by-products, such as mill scale and filter dust, are generated across Europe and North America. These by-products are rich in valuable metals, yet are often underutilised or recycled using fossil-based methods. At GreenIron, we turn these residuals into resources. Our carbon-neutral, hydrogen-based reduction technology enables steelmaking by-products to be recycled and reintroduced into steel production processes. The result: higher production yields, improved profitability, and significantly lower CO₂ emissions - while strengthening circularity across the steel industry. The image shows reduced mill scale produced at our Sandviken facility, ready to be reintroduced into the steelmaking process.

Circular metals in a volatile world   Steel production accounts for nearly 8% of global energy-related CO₂ emissions (#OECD).
