The knicks all over our walls and floors prove it. I’ve always loved sports, and I find myself coming back to it all the time…in how I work, how I communicate, and how I think about teams. Lately, I’ve been struck by how my kids think about it too. It’s simple: Set the bar high, make it matter to you, and go after it. What it takes: Have a clear picture of what good looks like. Care about it. Work for it. And know it only counts if it helps the team. Sometimes it looks like Team Canada, a beaver, hockey, and Connor McDavid.

Todd Cione reacted on thisTodd Cione reacted on thisThe world truly is small. I recently had a chance encounter with Mrinal Chatterjee, a former colleague from Oracle in the late 1990s. The last time we met was in 2006 during a dinner gathering with our old Oracle team. While walking through the SFO International lounge, I spotted him sitting there, returning home to India after a business trip, while I was heading out for vacation. It was wonderful to reconnect, and I hope we can catch up again next time I'm in Bangalore. I miss the old days, especially those late-night dinners at 3 AM as we worked to get our product release out the door. I also miss the camaraderie of our old team. Isam Alyousfi, Sukumar Rathnam, Siva Sundaresan, Rohit Jainendra, Kartik Raghavan, Sudhakar Vissapragada, I hope you are all doing well. Let's plan a reunion the next time Sukumar or Mrinal are in town.
