Michele H. shared thisI don’t post personal thoughts on LinkedIn much, but it truly breaks my heart to see so many people I know, and don’t know, lose their jobs lately. Amazing, talented people who don’t deserve it. To a company, you’re just a line item, but it shakes up your entire life and causes permanent damage. I’ve been through it twice. I’ve always turned to music to get me through hard times like these. I find the lyrics of the song Just One Break by Josiah and the Bonnevilles and Mon Rovǐa to be comforting and resonant with the feeling of hopelessness that can come with losing your job. Their voices are also so soothing and healing. “You're walking through your darkest hour Running out of power Right before the dawn Looking for a ray of light In a midnight sky Time keeps moving on Maybe you could roll that dice One more time See if the number's strong All it takes is just one break And you were alright all along Alright all along” If you’re feeling troubled by these layoffs or other hardships, give it a listen. I hope you can find some comfort in it as well. https://lnkd.in/g3rqRE7C

Michele H. liked thisMichele H. liked thisNEW JOB ALERT!! I'm hiring our first Product Marketing Manager. 🚀 We're a Series B company with real traction - trusted by Liquid Death, Amy's, Perfect Snacks, and more to fix an $8 trillion problem in CPG trade promotion (20% of revenue goes to retail promos, 70% of that isn't ROI positive). Here's the catch: our engineering team is accelerating, and features are now shipping faster than customers can keep up with them. We don't need someone to invent product marketing from scratch - we need someone to own it, hone it, and make it bulletproof as we scale. You'll: - Build the communication engine behind every product release - Arm sales with talk tracks, battle cards, and positioning that actually wins deals - Define and track adoption metrics and revenue impact for new features - Launch a real product advocacy program with our power users - Turn dense product functionality into narratives finance and sales buyers actually care about What you bring: 4-7 years of B2B SaaS product marketing chops, a bias for building tight process fast, and the ability to drive things end-to-end and rally people across teams without needing the authority to make them listen. If you or someone you know might be a strong fit - let me know! https://lnkd.in/eDJB_T8p

Michele H. liked thisMichele H. liked thisToday marks a new chapter. After 4.5+ years leading Marketing Operations at Stack Overflow, and 15+ years in the marketing ops field overall, I'm stepping into a new challenge as I officially join Zapier. I've built my career around a simple idea: the systems and data behind marketing matter just as much as the campaigns themselves. That experience, across martech strategy, automation, and connecting data in ways that actually move a business forward, is what I'm bringing with me into this next role. I'm especially excited to join Zapier, a company whose product I've genuinely used and believed in since 2016. There's something special about joining a team that builds the very tools you've relied on for years, and I can't wait to dig in, learn from an incredible group of people, and help shape what's next. Here's to new beginnings. I could not be more excited for what's ahead.

Stop calling every engagement "Buyer Intent." Reading one exclusive article or blog doesn’t mean someone is ready to buy. It means they’re curious. Misinterpreting curiosity as intent is how you burn out your SDR motion and annoy your future customers. CEO: "Downloads, clicks, and webinar registrations mean our sales team should reach out immediately, right?" Marketing: "No. They aren't ready. Real intent is a pattern, not a moment." This is where the “And so what?” methodology changes the game. Don’t treat engagement like a finish line. Treat it like a logic gate in the customer journey. If someone reads an article: 👉What insight do they see next? 👉What problem becomes clearer? 👉What proof builds their confidence? Buyers rarely move from one interaction to a high-stakes decision. They move through: Recognition → Reinforcement → Confidence. Marketing’s job isn't just to generate the click. It’s to engineer the "And so what?" that leads them to the handoff. It’s a customer journey. Not a pit stop. #B2BStrategy #CustomerJourney #MarketingOperations
