Marina Mofford shared thisAfter 2.8 incredible years at Contentstack , today I’m signing off. From day one, I’ve been inspired by brilliant colleagues, challenged to grow, and lucky enough to contribute to work I’m genuinely proud of. Thank you to every teammate, mentor, and friend who made this chapter so meaningful. As I step into my role as a full time mom, I’ll be much less active on LinkedIn but I’ll poke my head in periodically to say hello. To my Contentstack tribe, it’s been a privilege.

Marina Mofford shared thisSeven months ago, I got promoted to a very important title, mom. While I was out on maternity leave, I spent a lot of time planning and thinking about how I would juggle work and baby once my maternity leave wrapped up. My husband showed me an old commercial about a special kind of job — one that has no days off, no sick days, lunches are spent eating over a sink, no paid holidays, no vacation, a 24/7 commitment and no pay. In this commercial, they interview a group of folks and by the end of it, no one wants that job, until they realize hundreds of thousands of people have that job. It’s called mom. Needless to say, by the end of this commercial, I was a sopping mess. After fourteen years of wearing many hats as a marketer, I’ve made the very hard decision to hang up my marketer hat for now and be mom, full time. I’m so very grateful to my Contentstack tribe. This was such a difficult decision to make because I’ve never worked for a better company, I’ve never been among colleagues who had my back and held my hand through this really hard life transition. I’m so grateful for the support from Gurdeep Dhillon , Nicole Quick , and the many folks who made my last hurrah in tech (for now) so meaningful: Abigail Green Kelly Grobert, MBA Preseetha Pettigrew Jeff Baher Jeff Cheal Angie Buccilli Neha Sampat Ande Kempf Nishant Patel Bianca Anderson Varia Makagonova. I could list out everyone in the company, honestly. I’ve never had the privilege of working among so many talented, kind, smart people and I can’t wait to cheer for you all from my baby glider. I’m so grateful for the last few years with this special group. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. My last day at Contentstack will be November 26th. I’ll be open to small consulting projects and contract work between baby naps. I’m so lucky I get to have this time with my girl, I know I won’t get it back. I hope to work with you all again in my next career chapter.

Marina Mofford posted thisI shared a very big life update the other day (hello, baby girl! 👶), but in the haze of newborn days and happy chaos, I forgot to mention something really important: I’m incredibly grateful to the amazing team at Contentstack for holding down the fort while I take this time away. It’s easy to talk about work-life balance, but it’s another thing to live it out, especially when life throws big, beautiful changes your way. Becoming a parent has been the most profound shift of my life, and knowing I have the full support of my team and company has made all the difference. In moments like this, you realize how much it matters to work in a place that supports its people when life happens, not just in policy, but in practice. From leadership to my day-to-day team, I’ve felt nothing but encouragement and understanding. Thank you, Contentstack, for giving me the space to fully show up for this new chapter. Can’t wait to return—but for now, I’m soaking it all in. ❤️

Marina Mofford shared thisMy LinkedIn inbox is currently flooded with sales pitches and friendly hellos and I won’t be replying to a single one anytime soon. I’ve recently been promoted to a far more important title: Mom. Right now I’m doing the hardest job I’ve ever had, staying focused on a tiny, demanding boss who is teaching me every day. What everyone says is true, parenthood is the greatest honor of my life and I’m loving every minute. I’ll be back to my tech hat, but for now, I’m exactly where I need to be. Looking forward to reconnecting with everyone in August! Happy 4th, all!

Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisLaunching a new product in a new market, without hiring anyone, AND quickly gaining market share, all while seeing 2.5x ROAS through an MMM... tough battle to fight. SURI did so on Agentio, scaling 45+ YouTube creator verticals in 5 months, thanks to its amazing team Jasmine Rayonia & Elizabeth Borkowski. 🪥 Suri understood that the only way to truly capture attention and trust, would be through the creators who have spent years building it with their audiences. But going zero-to-one, scaling quickly, and measuring creator media as a paid channel wouldn't have been possible through legacy influencer point solutions. Agentio enabled Suri to buy, measure, and scale - end-to-end - and see 2.5x ROAS in their MMM, allowing them to continue investing in the greatest storytellers on earth, in an evergreen, always-on fashion. Case study linked in the comments 🚀

Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisWe currently have 5+ incredible people on our marketing team who started out as interns. I’ve learned this about spotting great talent in interns as a senior leader: you usually can’t. It does happen once in a blue moon but typically what you really need is an amazing team member or lead in your org that is willing to (a) take them under their wing and (b) push them (with support) into the spotlight. Interns often start out a bit rough around the edges, eager to learn but with not as much industry and domain knowledge that lets you freely assign them high-priority tasks. It’s a special talent to find a high-profile assignment for them that is both doable and business-critical, that if they complete successfully, will prove they’ve got what it takes. But it’s more than that, too. It’s leaders who talk up their potential and their talent to leadership every chance they get. It’s leadership who are willing to listen and take a chance on someone green but frighteningly talented. It’s an organization that allows for trial and error and has patience for explaining the why (and how) behind their asks. And it’s one of the most rewarding journeys I’ve personally been on or witnessed. Seeing those who stared as interns speaking confidently about their domain expertise 1-3 years later is beautiful. It says, “you saw this person and you gave them the platform to succeed”, which IMO is the best thing a leader can achieve. You won’t see them from where you’re sitting, though. Always listen to your directs when they say they’ve spotted talent, because they know WAY better than you. I was once a loose-canon of an intern and I had incredibly patient, wonderfully allowing leaders (Matt Davies & Didi Sutisna) who gave me meaningful work, gave me a platform to shine, let me fail, and were there to catch me when I did. I can only hope that I can do the same for junior talent that’s coming up today, because it meant everything and shaped me in more ways than they probably realize. Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisThe first week of summer is already behind us. We’ve spent our days at the pool, made memories at Magic Kingdom, and enjoyed plenty of ice cream along the way. This week reminded me how quickly life moves. The days can feel long, but the years fly by. One minute you’re carrying little kids through a theme park, and the next they’re leading the way. A reminder to myself: take the PTO, put down the phone, take the picture, say yes to the ice cream, and enjoy the moment.

Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisI'm begging you - get a hobby you're bad at. Claude doesn't count. Last night I was in a comedy contest and I lost. And I love it. I'm open about not being that great at comedy. People always assume I'm fishing for compliments saying that, but that's because we assume that being bad at something is shameful. IT'S NOT. A hobby you have mastery in is lovely and rewarding (reading, running, whatever is your jam). But a hobby you're bad (or not yet a master) at? That teaches you to TRY stuff. And that's a skill we lose really fast if all we do is work. Work doesn't reward trying. It rewards results. And it can get too easy to just do stuff that works fine on repeat because that's the fastest path to "job done". Trying, failing, improving and trying again and getting slightly better? That's the magic where work - or anything - feels fulfilling. Over the years I've been obsessed with salsa dancing, writing classes, theater, comedy. I've never become an expert. And that doesn't matter, just like the hobby doesn't matter. The point is clawing back your humanity as a person who still has things they can learn (that's all of us by the way), and remembering that not nailing things on the first try is not a tragedy. So please go take that flower arranging class this weekend. Your work and your mental health will be better for it.

Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisEver wonder how a 2.5-year-old hypergrowth startup executes Cannes, and what it actually costs? 💸 😱 Here's a sneak peek at Agentio's year two: the events we're putting on, and what we believe it takes to show up meaningfully. I'm a big believer that one of the best ways to build a transformational community and lasting trust is through intimate, memorable experiences that bring brilliant, forward-thinking, curious leaders into the same room. It's why we rented Blackberry Farm - arguably North America's #1 hotel property - for our inaugural CMO & Creator Summit this July. I want Agentio events to feel once-in-a-lifetime, because the amazing partners we do them with, make our ambitions possible. Cannes is no different. It's hard to cut through the noise as a startup with generational ambitions. So what does it take to bring an epic Agentio Cannes to life? Sunday: Lunch in the kitchen of Mirazur (3 Michelin stars, #1 restaurant in the world) with 10-12 senior leaders, before the week kicks off (very little happens on Sunday, this is a chance to kick off with gusto) ~$15,000 Monday: Our main event - the Last Meals Feast, cooked by YouTube's most beloved chefs: Babish and Mythical Kitchen's Josh Scherer at our villa. 20 senior marketing leaders, their last-meal picks, a group dinner like none other. Details: https://lnkd.in/ejmBvS2s. ~$100,000 Monday–Thursday: We work with many of the leading challenger brands in the US (shoutout Hilary Anne Hyman, Guillermo Echarte), and we're quickly expanding into key accounts, conglomerates, and agencies (shoutout Ross Wakeham). We're meeting marketing leaders who understand that ad dollars must follow attention, and that ~50% of attention is on creator content, but only 2-5% of spend - that won't unlock their growth goals. They require programmatic infrastructure, and it's why Agentio will be synonymous with creator marketing, just as Google was with search ads, and Meta with social ads. Sponsoring MediaLink and Brand Innovators gets us valuable meetings, speaking slots, event access, and two dedicated meeting areas for our team to take 20-25 meetings/day. ~$250,000 Tuesday–Friday: Client dinners, nights out, Grand Prix winners' beach club lunch. ~$20,000 Villa for 7: ~$40,000 Travel & team logistics: ~$40,000 Cannes is a unique beast - thousands of leaders converging on the French Riviera, all needing to come home and tell their bosses that the rosé and soufflé will translate to real business transformation… and that they met the right partners to make it happen. Does a ~$500,000 Cannes budget feel egregious? For many, yes. Will we see the ROI? Unequivocally. Last year's investment returned in spades, and having Jonathan Meyers, Ross Wakeham, Hilary Anne Hyman, Jason Li, and Guillermo Echarte on the ground will pay dividends again. If you'll be at Cannes, we'd love meet up. Join us for Sunday lunch, the Monday Last Meals Feast, or any of our lunches and dinners through the week. Shoot me a note!

Marina Mofford liked thisMarina Mofford liked thisWhat a beautiful weekend and start to the week in San Diego. This trip was extra special because I got to bring my little bestie along with me. I miss her so much when I travel, so getting to share a few days together in a place we both love brought me a lot of joy. One of the things I enjoy most about conferences is the people and conversations. Almost everyone has a story. A child, a grandchild, a colleague, a friend. Someone they know who is navigating a diagnosis, disability, injury, or an unexpected medical journey with their child. As a parent who has lived through that experience, those conversations stay with me. They remind me why this work matters. Behind every diagnosis is a child. Behind every child is a family trying to navigate the unexpected. Those families are what motivate me every day. Because behind every claim, every diagnosis, and every difficult season is a family trying to hold everything together while continuing to show up at work, at home, and for the people they love. A few weeks ago, Juno approved the most claims in a single day in our company's history. Families facing severe autism, childhood cancer, extended NICU stays, rare diseases, and other life-changing diagnoses are now receiving meaningful financial support during some of the hardest moments of their lives. All because an employer decided that when a child experiences a severe illness or disability, their employees shouldn't have to face it alone. That matters.

Marina Mofford reacted on thisMarina Mofford reacted on thisIt’s 6 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. I’m at home sleeping and my phone buzzes on the nightstand. Which is unusual because my phone is on Do Not Disturb, so whoever is calling has dialed twice to break through. It’s my dad. “Hey buddy, Markham was admitted to the ICU last night. I think you might want to get up here as soon as possible.” I jump out of bed, book a flight to NYC, cancel my meetings, pass off my dog to my in-laws and head to the Tampa airport. I’m standing on the jet bridge about three steps from boarding the flight that I just booked a few hours earlier. I’ve got my backpack on, my carry-on roller bag at my side. All of a sudden, I feel someone’s hand gently rest on my right shoulder from behind. I turn around and see a woman, probably in her early sixties. Glasses, shoulder-length hair. Motherly. “What’s the blue ribbon on your backpack for?” she asks. My eyes well up immediately. I go to speak, but I notice the words get caught in my throat. “It’s for my brother. I’m on my way to see him now.“ The way she nods lets me know she sees me, she sees my pain. “The ribbon is for colorectal cancer. I think I’m going to say goodbye.” “How old is he?” she asked. I can’t hold back my tears. “He’s 41.” Now, I’m losing it. I’m standing there, staring back at this long line of eager passengers trying to board their flight and I’m bawling my eyes out. I don’t know what to do. So I just fall into this woman and give her a big hug. And for about 5 long seconds, she just holds me. I pull back, look her in the eyes and say “thank you - I really needed that.” And then I board my flight. Here's the thing. She has no idea what she really did for me in that moment. She has no idea she's part of my story. But she is. And she always will be. Because it was a Ripple Effect Moment. How often does that happen? How often are we part of someone else's story, and we just don't know it? How often is our legacy already living in someone else's life, for better or worse, without us ever realizing it? After the flight, I caught up with her to ask her name and thank her again. In the haze of the moment and everything that followed, I've since forgotten her name. But I'll never forget her. I'll never forget that loving stranger on the jet bridge. Ripple Effect Leaders don't curate extraordinary moments. They just let their humanity show in the ordinary ones. P.S. I've been quiet on here for a while. My brother Markham passed away three weeks ago on May 9, and I've been pulling myself together for keynotes and events since. I'm still finding my rhythm. And I have a lot more I want to say and share about legacy. If you've lost a loved one recently, I am your friend in grief. Selfie from our favorite tradition - playing in the Barstool Classic in matching outfits. This was from last July sporting the custom hats he designed 🩵

Marketing teams need to become composable. The days of monolithic marketing stacks, rigid roles, and one-size-fits-all campaigns are over. Buyer journeys are fragmented, product portfolios are expanding, and speed matters more than ever. Composable marketing teams can be built around: 🔹Modular tech stacks that adapt as needs change. 🔹Clear ownership with flexible collaboration across functions. 🔹Tight alignment with product, sales, and customer success (not handoffs). This isn’t about adding more tools or complexity. It’s about designing marketing like modern software: flexible by default, resilient to change, and optimized for iteration. The teams that win will be the ones that can reassemble themselves around new products, new markets, and new signals—without slowing down. Composable isn’t a buzzword, trust me... It’s a necessary survival strategy. (I've put a link to a fascinating Gartner webinar on this topic in the comments 👇) #MarketingLeadership #MarketingTipsForCEOs #ModernMarketing

Marketing budgets aren't coming back. Yet tech stacks keep growing. 62% of teams now use more tools than two years ago. The result? More complexity, less pipeline impact. Getting a GHL marketplace app approved taught us more about how agencies actually use the platform than months of reading docs. Rejection #1: We said "GoHighLevel" in the UI. Can't do that — agencies whitelabel everything, so their clients never see "GHL." You say "your account" instead. Rejection #2: Our install flow accidentally kicked people out of GHL into our standalone page. Marketplace apps need to stay inside the iframe. Rejection #3: The app didn't scroll properly on mobile because of a CSS quirk with how GHL frames are sized. Three rounds of review. Each one made the product better. If you're building for the GHL marketplace — expect this. It's worth it.
