Here's how I explain it: • Telematics watches your trucks. It tells you where they are, how they're being driven, and how they're performing. • Fleet management watches your operation. We put it to the test. 🤖 We’ve been experimenting with AI chatbots to see how well they can pull real job leads for dump truck operators. In our newsletter, we shared a version where we used Bing Copilot, Perplexity, and Gemini Advanced Pro to generate prospect lists. This time, we ran the same test using ChatGPT’s paid plan—same prompt, different tool. The prompt was simple: "I own a fleet of dump trucks and am looking for work near Greenville, South Carolina. Within a 50-mile radius of Greenville, South Carolina, find a list of ongoing or planned construction projects that require a large amount of construction material to be hauled. For each project, find the name and contact information of the general contractor. For each project, find any open RFPs for this type of project." ChatGPT came back with a solid list—active projects, contractor contacts, and even open RFPs. Basically, a shortcut to leads that would take hours of manual research. Need more results? Just ask it to list more and make sure to hit the "search" button. You’d be surprised how much it can dig up. Does this replace load boards? No. But it does give you a head start. If you’re still relying on the same old methods to find jobs, you might be missing out.

The hope is that they will want to pursue a science or technology career. My involvement was to help in the classrooms on the days that they were working on programming their Rasberry Pi.
