Howard Nuk reposted thisHoward Nuk reposted thisMost portable fans are just moving hot air around. We asked a different question: what would it actually take to lower your body temperature on demand no matter where you are? That question is how Shark ChillPill was born. It's the first wearable personal cooling system that combines a high-speed bladeless fan, evaporative misting, and a cryo-inspired cooling plate that drops skin temperature up to 16°F in seconds. You feel it immediately. This is the way we build new categories at SharkNinja: identify the problem others ignore, engineer a solution that actually works, and make people feel it. Howard Nuk shared thisThe momentum keeps growing, powered by teamwork, relentless dedication, and endless creativity! 🚀 FUN - I made the town hall cameo pic behind our fearless leader and CEO Mark Barrocas 🤘 #wearesharkninja #innovationHoward Nuk shared thisOur quarterly Global Town Hall is an important moment for our SharkNinja team. It’s an opportunity to recognize what we’ve built, celebrate our results, and reflect on how we keep raising the bar as we continue building a company defined by innovation, speed, and an uncompromising focus on the consumer. We were also joined by our full Board of Directors, and our Chairman addressed the team directly - reinforcing our shared conviction in the strategy, the strength of this team, and the significant opportunity ahead. The past year tested every company in different ways, but our team stayed anchored to our mission of positively impacting people’s lives, fueled by an existential need to be the absolute best at what we do - and grounded in our purpose of solving real consumer problems. The result: our 11th straight quarter of double-digit growth and continued global momentum. I couldn’t be prouder of how this team delivered. As I closed the meeting, I shared something I genuinely believe: I’m more excited about the next 12 months than I was about the last 12. If we can continue to say that year after year, we’ll continue building something very special.

Howard Nuk reacted on thisHoward Nuk reacted on thisDesign is ultimately about solving real problems for people, and last week, I had the opportunity to see that principle come to life in a big way. At the inaugural SharkNinja Innovation Challenge finale in Boston, I joined an incredible group of judges, Mark Barrocas, Caitlin Reimers Brumme, and Stephanie Connaughton, to hear seven standout teams present solutions they’ve been rigorously developing over the past several weeks. What struck me most wasn’t just the creativity on display, but the depth of thinking behind each concept. These teams clearly understood their users, and they intentionally designed around those needs. From reimagining hair care for textured hair (congrats to our grand prize winner, team Woven from University of Southern California), to elevating the at-home matcha experience (team Matcha Luxe from Tufts University), to creating smarter systems for everyday routines like cleaning reusable bottles (team Nami Cleans from Massachusetts Institute of Technology), each idea reflected a strong point of view on where design, technology, and human insight intersect. Every team's design identified real friction in people’s lives and pushed toward thoughtful, tangible solutions. That’s what great product design does. A huge thank you and congrats to all of the student innovators who participated, and to our partners at MassChallenge for helping bring this to life. The level of talent, curiosity, and execution we saw gives me a lot of confidence in the next generation of innovators and designers. #WeAreSharkNinja #SNInnovationChallenge #Design

This recognition affirms a conviction we held throughout this project: that Scandinavian design is not a fixed aesthetic — it's a living philosophy, one that must keep evolving. With the XC70, we pushed that forward. A confident, innovative exterior. A cabin reimagined for the way people truly live and travel — versatile, thoughtfully detailed, and unmistakably Volvo. That same conviction shaped our approach to the HMI — designed not just to function beautifully, but to feel serene, creating a moment of calm before the journey begins. None of this happened without extraordinary collaboration — within our Shanghai team, and alongside our global design colleagues. I am so proud of what we built together. To my team — thank you for your relentless craft, your patience with the details, and your belief that design can genuinely move people. Howard Nuk reacted on thisHoward Nuk reacted on this🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️I completed my first Half Ironman! The 70.3 miles (1.2m swim, 56m bike, 13.1m run) is such a brutal dialogue between your limits and your will, an experience that truly mirrors that of being a founder. I witnessed a truth that every founder eventually hits: vision is the easy part, but building is the grind. We aren’t just imagining the future; we’re out here in the trenches making it real. It’s a grueling process that demands you stay steady and keep your head in the game, especially when the initial "high" of the idea has worn off and you're running on fumes. ⛽️ To be a founder is to be an endurance athlete. Both require a vision that stretches far beyond the current horizon and the audacity to believe you can reach it. 🏁The Course Notes: 🛡️The Support Crew: No one reaches the finish line alone. In startups, as in a 70.3, your support system is the bedrock. Special shoutout to my husband and fellow founder, Justin Dueck, thank you for being in my corner always and pushing me to be the best version of myself. 👟Winning the "Invisible Miles": The world sees the cheers on Race Day, but the victory is won in the predawn silence. It’s the unglamorous, un-glorified work of pounding the pavement when no one is watching that forges a founder. 🧠The Narrative of the Mind: In the "pain cave," the stories we tell ourselves become our reality. I chose to reframe discomfort as growth and visualized the finish line. We prevail through the relentless discipline of positive self-talk. 🐟"Just Keep Swimming": Dory spoke a universal truth. Whether literal or metaphorical, when the water is choppy and the path is steep, the only requirement is to keep moving (literally, that 1.2 mile swim in the ocean is no joke! lol). 🎤Manufacture Your Own Fun: The "middle miles" on the bike, as in startups, can be a lonely, boring stretch. When the mental fatigue hit, I leaned into the absurd and sang Mulan "I'll Make a Man Out Of You" at the top of my lungs. To survive the grind, you have to be your own spark. The future is not something we wait for. We make it happen, one mile and one "brick" at a time. 🎉 #Ironman #FounderLife #Endurance #StartupGrit #703Training

The most important parts of product development aren’t taught in school. They’re earned through practice. Over time, you learn how to: → Anticipate and avoid costly pitfalls → Develop sharp intuition for partners, clients, and customers → Adapt strategy to shifting objectives → Increase efficiency while protecting margins Experience builds judgment. And judgment drives better outcomes. I’m Andrew Bowen, Founder & Director of Unbox Product Design, an award-winning San Francisco–based product development firm. I work at the intersection of design, engineering, manufacturing, and business strategy, bringing over 15 years of product development experience and nearly a decade in marketing and client relations. Beyond leading Unbox, I dedicate time to mentoring and speaking with emerging professionals. Giving back to this industry matters. Stronger designers build stronger products. If you’re building something ambitious, experience matters. Let’s talk. #Innovation #DesignExcellence #IndustrialDesign #ProductDevelopment #Leadership

AI is impacting how we think about sustainable products and packaging. Tools like MechStyle show what’s possible when generative AI is paired with real-world physics: designs that are customized, material-efficient, and structurally sound. Instead of overbuilding “just in case,” AI can identify weak points, reduce waste, and design only what’s needed. That’s a quiet but powerful sustainability win.

We’re not just evolving from hardware-defined to software-defined vehicles. We’re moving toward experience-defined vehicles — where emotion, expression, and adaptivity are just as core to the product as performance or design. What defines a car is no longer just how it drives, but how it feels, sounds, and connects. This shift changes everything — from UI systems and spatial layout to brand strategy and business models. At NXT NXT, we’ve been helping future-focused brands navigate this exact transformation. Because experience is no longer an output — it’s the core product. nxt nxt - the future experience innovation platform #NXTNXT

Merging design and hardware isn’t a handoff, it’s a handshake. That’s where the real magic happens. I’ve been spending a lot of time deep in the details lately, figuring out how to align design intent with the realities of hardware development. And one thing is clear: This isn’t something you just toss over the fence once the concept is “done.” The further you go, the more voices enter the room—engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, operations. That’s a good thing because bringing an idea to life at scale requires collaboration, flexibility, and a strong design foundation that can adapt without breaking. Why does this matter? Because the best products—the ones that actually make it to market and perform—are the result of designers staying involved. Not just in the concept phase, but all the way through. #hardwaredesign #productdevelopment #eyeweardesign #industrialdesign #collaboration #smartwearables #designthinking #designengineering #designleadership

You shouldn't have to choose between speed and accuracy. But that's what traditional workflows force. --Fast, low-fidelity analysis that misses critical issues OR --Weeks-long high-fidelity analysis that locks in designs too early We're hosting a webinar to show how nTop eliminates this compromise entirely. For Engineers: Stop spending weeks on "design → mesh → analyze → redesign" cycles. See parametric aircraft models drive real-time CFD analysis and performance predictions—geometry changes instantly propagate through your entire analysis chain. For Engineering Leaders: Watch your teams explore design alternatives 10x faster in the same timeframe. This isn't about working harder; it's about removing the friction that prevents thorough design space exploration when it matters most. For Program Leaders: See how faster, more credible design exploration translates directly to stronger proposals and higher PWin. When you can show up with data-backed alternatives instead of single-point designs, technical credibility becomes your competitive advantage. What you'll see in action: Parametric aircraft sizing with automatic wing loading and thrust-to-weight calculations driving geometrySeamless integration where geometric changes instantly update mission profile analysisnTop Fluids generating pressure distributions and drag predictions without mesh generation delaysAnalysis-ready tessellation creating CFD meshes in minutes, not hoursReal-time design validation enabling true design space exploration Speakers: Todd McDevitt (Director of Product Management) and Daeho Hong (Senior Product Manager) Register here: https://lnkd.in/ecWvvg7h Can't attend live? Register anyway and we'll send you the recording. Shout out to Todd, Daeho, and the entire team who've been working directly with engineers at primes and startups to build these capabilities. This represents a major step forward in our mission to get teams from requirements to design faster.

#CES2026 was a whirlwind, and also reminder that the most meaningful innovation doesn’t happen overnight, but is built through vision, craft, and long-term collaboration. A few moments that stood out: - Spending time with Nex at their CES showcase. Their continued momentum is a clear example of what’s possible when strong design is paired with enduring partnerships. Grateful to David, Jorge, Paul for building with intention. - Seeing Percy represented on the busy showroom floor (congrats Conner Herman, BCBA, MBA) - Reconnecting with longtime collaborators and meeting the next generation shaping hardware at memorable gatherings - informal, KeyShot/Nova, Baukunst (thanks for the mystical tiki drink!) And in between the chaos, napkin sketches and impromptu meetings. As we look toward 2026, the opportunity in hardware feels especially clear. If you’re building something ambitious in hardware this year, we should talk.

Everything seems easy when it is done! The thought process which has gone behind developing ATOM is something we at Sickle Innovations Private Limited are going to cherish for a lifetime. I am so proud of my team for their unstoppable innovation engine. This innovation of ours is going to change the way apple trade takes place! It is a perfect example of classic bottom up approach of design thinking. This is the simplest possible product which can turn any mechanical grader into an optical grader at a fraction of cost. Let me give you a detailed write-up on how we came to this design and how this is going to revolutionize the apple industry. I am going to write this on the framework of design thinking: Desirability: More than 90% of apples in India are graded on mechanical graders (basically a size grader machine) and all those people now want to buy optical grader with capability of grading based on color as well. Here the problem is that they already have mechanical machines but they don't want to throw them away. Hence they want something which can convert their mechanical grader into an optical grader. Atom Does This. Feasibility: Technically it was possible but in general optical graders need huge space. Making this product under the size of 5feet x 8feet was a big task which included many engineering challenges. ATOM is smaller than 5' x 8' Viability: A farmer producing 500 boxes annually cannot afford a fully-loaded optical grader because his ROI will be very high. We had this mission to make this product viable to individual farmers so that they can buy this machine and enjoy the benefits of this advanced technology by investing little extra than mechanical grader. Optimising industrial cameras, GPUs, sensors and whole R&D to develop these high performing systems is not that easy. We optimised all our systems and worked out a cost which was just perfect for individual farmers to adopt this. ATOM is affordable. Sickle Innovations Pvt Ltd Profit making company generating profits for farmer:)

Rigid Origami Solution: Compliant Hinge Mechanism for folding Double-Layer Origami Panels To address the challenge of scaling up some rapid deploy origami folds that I'm working on, I've designed a compliant hinge mechanism. This innovation ensures that the thickness of the material is taken into account. This hinge design allows the folding of a double layer. Typically, paper's negligible thickness allows me to disregard it but I'm digging this consideration of thickness, it feels like a new dimension (which it is!) and it's throwing up some exciting possibilities. #compliantmechanism #rigidorigami #origamihinge #rigid #origami #mechanism #rigidfold #paperfold

With the news of Gorden Wagener's departure, the latest "Did you know?" had to move back a bit but it doesn't mean it is less important. Car Design departments are changing. New design and development processes, structures that are getting more responsibilities (such as Brand), and a tendency towards fewer leadership and management roles lead to a statement that might at first scare you. But it shouldn't. Yes, we will see design departments shrink. However, that will mainly happen in the traditional car design work. Other areas such as brand, experience, visualisation, innovation etc. that will more and more be included in design will see an increase of new talent coming into the OEM design departments. At the same time, we currently expect the contracting and freelance market to see an upswing again. Certain skill sets might not be seen as a key skill internally, but they are not disappearing and are therefore more required as external and temporary support. #konzepthaus #cardesign #automotivedesign #transportationdesign
