In 2024, I created a vision board featuring a picture of me on the cover of
Entrepreneur Media. It was fun to imagine and create, a bit whimsical, but also a reminder to myself to THINK BIG. I've been a fan of the publication since I started my entrepreneurial path, and it's been a companion to me when the waters of business get choppy (which is all the time).
While I'm not on the cover of the magazine (yet), I'm so happy to have this feature as proof that while my visions may not all be fully realized, the seeds are there and germinating.
Here's a quick summary of the interview.
- I created a new category, Blended Fashion™ - not as a trend but as a philosophy, an intentional mix of masculine and feminine because there's nothing like it in the marketplace. My girl/boy twins inspired that.
- I'm a heart-led founder. For better or for worse, I follow my heart, and I can't think of any other way to build a mission-led business.
- Slow is fast - intentionality is the root of my business. I'm not in a race or competing with anyone. I'm doing my own thing.
- I'm creating an ecosystem, and that takes time. StereoType is growing organically, and that's the way I want it.
- Designing products, writing a children's book, and co-writing a song don't happen overnight. These ideas found their way to me over time, and they are all part of communicating a bigger mission.
My favorite quote in the article - “Just seeing my own children and how free they are to express themselves, I wanted that for other children as well.”
Thank you to Entrepreneur Magazine for sharing my story.
