April 2nd is more than Talener's #anniversary. It's a moment of reflection and gratitude. You have trusted us to deliver results for nearly two decades. You are the foundation of everything we have built. What's next in #staffing? We're in a new information era- one that will impact everyone beyond AI generated resumes & screening software.  #Transparency is the new first impression. Thank you to our clients, candidates, current & former staff for making Talener the #agency it is today.

Andrew Zaloom has officially planted roots in #Tennessee and we couldn't be more excited to have a local presence available to help you with your #tech staffing needs! Andrew has several years of experience placing talent nationally and this is a great opportunity for him to connect to the greater #Nashville tech community.

Big life update! After getting married in November, my wife and I made the move earlier this month from NYC to her original hometown of Franklin, Tennessee! It’s been a fun first few weeks and we are loving our new city, the change of pace, and how friendly & welcoming everyone has been.   While continuing to support my clients and candidates in NYC and beyond, I’m especially excited to grow Talener’s presence in the greater Nashville area where there is such a rapidly growing economy & job market.    For my new connections, Talener is a full-service recruiting agency founded in 2007. We are experts at what we do, supporting both FTE and Contract hiring and partnering with a range of clients, from seed-stage start-ups to Fortune-500s, across all industries. Our expertise is in technology hiring (Software Engineering, AI/ML/Data, Product, DevOps/Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, InfoSec), Sales/GTM, Digital Marketing, and finance/operations.   If you or anyone you know is a leader in the greater Nashville area, I would love to connect. I’m eager to meet new people, learn more about the local market, introduce our businesses further, and learn any pro tips from locals as we continue to explore our new city.   I appreciate any referrals, introductions, and recommendations. Looking forward to this new chapter! #TalenerNashville

➡️ Bethany is right. Relationships matter and building those trusted relationships are a critical part of the #job process. #AI Engineers might live and breathe AI on a daily basis --but, as we've found, they don't want to be contacted by AI agents or do a screening #interview with an AI video interviewer. Finding the right fit is more than putting skills and experience into a seat. It's understanding pain points, managerial styles, and the read-between-the-lines team dynamic. #BacktoBasics

Will AI replace technical recruiters? Maybe for some of what we do, but here's what I don't lose sleep over... Principal ICs are not on job boards. They're not applying to your ATS. They move through trusted relationships built over years. AI can source, but it can't have the conversation I had with a Staff Engineer in 2022 that led to a placement in 2025. Senior engineers know immediately when something is automated. It's inauthentic and they disengage. They expect someone who actually understands the difference between their current scope and what they're being asked to step into. Closing a principal-level offer isn't a workflow. It's a negotiation involving comp philosophy, equity structure, title, team dynamics, and most times.... a candidate talking through a decision with someone they trust. And the market intelligence piece? Knowing which teams are struggling, which managers are difficult, what's really happening at a company - that lives in relationships and conversations. Not a database. AI is changing this job. I'm using it every day. The core of what makes a great recruiter at this level, though, hasn't changed... Do the people you work with actually trust you? That part's still human...
