Favorite Sports Moment
I have the privilege of being at the Madjeski Stadium when Reading lost 7-5 to Arsenal in the 2012 League Cup. At the time, it was the cup's highest ever scoring match and saw the Royals romp to a 4-0 lead by half-time. The Gunners had it level after 90 minutes but Reading put up a good fight in extra time, scoring through the big Russian, Pavel Pogrebynak.
Favorite Player
While always impressed by the greats of the sport, when it comes to a cult hero, I'd have to go for Royston Drenthe. You never knew quite what you'd get from the charismatic Dutchman, but it was never boring. I came across the winger as an Everton fan and, in a somewhat unbelievable turn of events, he ended up playing for my local club Reading in the Championship when I was a youngster.
