Rich Ashton reposted this🚀 Really proud to have worked with the Venatus team on bringing this to market. What stands out to me isn’t just the scale of the results, but what they represent: a shift from optimizing for delivery to having unique technology that can activate when immersive engagement actually exists. ✅ The Lumen Research findings reinforce what we’ve long believed, that context, mindset, and timing (attention) fundamentally change how advertising performs. ✅ Activating audiences “In the Zone” gives Venatus a way to deliver increased outcomes on moments more that actually matter for the advertiser and publisher while preserving user integrity, especially when a user chooses to lean in -- this isn't scrolling or passive engagement! Thanks for the coverage NewDigitalAge!Rich Ashton reposted this🎯 Venatus is introducing a new concept to digital advertising: Audiences “In the Zone.” 🚀 Today, we announced new results showing how Venatus activates these high-focus audiences across gaming, sports, and entertainment environments, verified by new analysis from Lumen Research. Across Venatus video campaigns, the findings show: ✅ Up to 5x higher Attention per 1,000 impressions (APM) vs standard digital video Looking deeper, the study shows that when audiences are In the Zone: ✅ 4x longer average view time (8 seconds vs 2 seconds industry benchmark) ✅ Nearly 2x higher likelihood of an ad being viewed Why does this happen? Because attention follows context. When people engage deeply with high-focus environments like gaming, sports, and entertainment (like Brain Games 🧩), they aren’t skimming or scrolling. They lean in. Activating Audiences In The Zone means aligning technology, environment, and mindset to create unique opportunities for publishers and advertisers. Our research with Lumen Research reinforces something we’ve seen for years in immersive environments: When audiences lean in, outcomes play out. Activate Audiences In the Zone. Rich Ashton shared thisProud of Harriet Ashton and my family for taking part in this week's campaign to secure better paternity leave in the UK which has hugely positive knock-on effects, not just for families, but society and the economy as a whole. As a dad and a business owner, I know firsthand how difficult it is to balance the demands of running a company and looking after your family, particularly in the first few months of newborn life. 45% of babies in the UK are now born via C-section. Mums need at least 6 weeks to recover after major abdominal surgery, which means that dads need to be around to support them. A lot of dads have to go back to work after just 2 weeks, which places an unfair and unsafe burden on mothers. The UK has one of the worst paternity leave policies in Europe and it’s time for policy to catch up with reality so that us dads can support our families properly. Please read, share, and sign the petition to increase statutory paternity leave to 6 weeks. #DadShift #PaternityLeave #FamilyHealthRich Ashton shared this❤️💔All we need is love! ❤️💔 And that means 6 weeks statutory paid paternity leave 🔈 (but HR listen up too!) As part of the @dadshiftuk brilliant new campaign, Penny, Billy and I have been slipping these cards into shops, posting them to MPs, and alerting media, calling for desperately needed statutory paternity leave reform. We have the worst statutory paternity leave in Europe and the ripple effect of this is undeniable. It breaks my heart thinking about the impact that this is having on families, but my personal beef with it is this: 45% of women have c sections in the UK, it takes 6 weeks to recover from major stomach surgery, yet fathers are back at work after 2 weeks. Policy needs to catch up with reality. It is barbaric and quite frankly grossly unsafe to leave women alone to look after a newborn as well as other children when they are deemed so injured that they are not legally allowed to drive, and with the unrealistic advice "dont pick up anything heavier than your newborn." I personally, still couldn't walk at 2 weeks post my c section following a complication, and was absolutely petrified of being on my own with my children. You wouldn't treat an animal like it, let's be honest, we wouldn't treat men like it (there isnt a world where men would be left to watch a newborn and a 3 year old, 2 weeks after major stomach surgery is there?) yet MPs and business owners are happy to let women sustain injuries, infections and lifelong pain, because they haven't been able to properly recover. Expecting new mums to shoulder so much physical and mental pain to prop up fiscal and business policy is absolutely not something we knowingly sign up for when we get pregnant. The irony is, if 6 weeks stat pat leave was implemented we would save huge amounts in post natal depression care (1.8 billion a year - our rates are diabolical) and earn more as a country due to higher maternal labour market participation. It suggests to me that the government and businesses have intentionally decided that women's mental and physical health can be sacrificed, because we probably won't make a fuss (and can't - we are knackered, injured and nap trapped with a newborn!) I won't stop until a 6 week paternity leave is made policy, so that women get the support they need from their partners - the person they really need in that very vulnerable time. Penny, this is for you and all the other girls and women who will one day be mums. Please please sign the @dadshiftuk petition below for an increase in statutory paternity leave. The positive impact this could have is immensely far-reaching. From saving relationships, to closing the gender pay gap, to updating societal and cultural expectations on men and women. However my concern is first and foresmost the mental and physical health of this country's girls and future mums. Please share and sign the petition for 6 week statutory paternity leave! #paternityleave #hr https://lnkd.in/e4Gk2fzQ

Rich Ashton liked thisRich Ashton liked thisThe way capital gets returned to investors has changed. Most founders and GPs are still acting like it hasn't. For the first time in venture history, three exit channels split the pie almost evenly. IPOs at 34%. M&A at 35%. Secondaries at 31%. A decade ago, secondaries were 3% of exit value. Today they account for roughly $95 billion in the trailing twelve months. The IPO window slammed shut in 2022 and investors found other ways out. Goldman bought Industry Ventures. Morgan Stanley picked up EquityZen. Schwab acquired Forge Global. Wall Street moved before most of venture caught on. There are 830 unicorns sitting on $3.9 trillion in post-money valuation. At 2025's pace of 48 VC-backed IPOs per year, clearing that backlog would take seventeen years. Secondary liquidity today concentrates in about 20 names. SpaceX. Stripe. OpenAI. If you're company number 50, the secondary market is mostly theoretical. If you're raising right now: think about liquidity optionality before you need it. Structure your cap table so partial exits are possible. Build relationships with secondary buyers early. Secondaries were a footnote ten years ago. Now they're plumbing. Rich Ashton liked thisRich Ashton liked thisThe reason non-alc exists There are moments where I really fancy a drink and as someone who is training for London Marathon at the moment, I am off the sauce till post 26th April But I can’t afford the impact of it the next day. Not financially. Mentally. That foggy feeling the next morning. The slightly slower start. The “why did I do that midweek?” thought. And that’s exactly the moment a lot of non-alcoholic brands are built around. Not never drinking. Just having a better option for that moment. Because most consumers of alcohol-free products still drink alcohol. They just want the choice. That nuance is where the real opportunity in the category sits. ANIMA Tech Studio | Business Pain Points Series : Post 2 When Disconnected Tools Start Running the Business At some point, many businesses do not realise they have adopted a system, until they notice they are constantly working around it. Leads live in one place. Client information in another. Tasks in someone’s inbox Reports in spreadsheets. And the many overlapping messaging groups. And “the latest version” depends on who you ask. Individually, each tool makes sense. Collectively, they quietly create friction. Not overwhelming failures!!! Just: • repeated follow-ups • data entered twice (or not at all) • different answers to the same question • time spent reconciling instead of deciding • conversations that begin with “hang on, let me check” The real cost of disconnected tools is not technical. It starts becoming relational. Teams stop trusting the data. Managers stop relying on reports. Decisions get delayed or made on instinct. And people start building personal workarounds just to keep moving. What gets really tricky is that everything still appears to be working. Until growth slows. Or accountability blurs. Or the business becomes dependent on a few people who “know how things really work”. At ANIMA Tech Studio , we see this moment often. It is rarely about adding another tool. It is about bringing clarity to how information flows, so systems support conversations instead of fragmenting them. When tools are connected thoughtfully: • teams spend less time reconciling • decisions happen faster • ownership becomes clearer • and the business stops leaking energy in invisible places This is not about complexity. But about coherence. If you have ever felt that your systems technically work, but somehow still slow you down, you surely are not alone. And it is usually a sign that things are ready to be brought together. #BusinessEfficiency #DigitalTransformation #SystemsIntegration #WorkflowAutomation #OperationalExcellence #BusinessGrowth #TechSolutions #SaaS #TeamProductivity #ANIMATech

As always we are following a "release early, release often" philosophy so there will be a few rough edges but hopefully some useful content for anyone interested in the UK M&A landscape. You can filter by Trade vs Financial Backer (PE/VC) content as well as by Sector, etc. Also a directory of Investors and a directory of Advisors. NB Humans not involved in the content creation. Next on the roadmap is to sort out the user login to drive personalisation and to allow people and firms to curate their own public profiles...

🚨 CBD & Vape Business Owners – Don’t Let Compliance Trip You Up! Speaking with CBD business owners this week, it’s clear there’s still a lot of confusion around compliance and approved products for sale in the UK & EU. ❌ Many new startups sign up to dropshipping agreements without fully understanding which products are actually legal in their target markets. 📦 They upload full catalogues – including restricted product lines – which can dramatically reduce their chances of merchant account approval, or even cause outright declines. It’s a minefield. Without expert guidance, you risk being rejected by your first acquirer… and multiple declines can have long-term consequences for your business. 💡 At Northern Payments, we help CBD & Vape businesses navigate the compliance maze – giving you the right advice before you invest valuable time and money. 📖 If you’re considering taking card payments (or switching providers), check out our free guides for quick, actionable tips that could save you time and money. 👇 Click below to read our helpful guides: 🔗 CBD Payments Guide – https://lnkd.in/eGvkjk7g 🔗 Vape Payments Guide – https://lnkd.in/efdK5SWf #CBDpayments #Vapepayments #MerchantServices #PaymentProcessing #ComplianceTips #NorthernPayments

There were lots of fascinating points in the recent Dwarkesh interview with Sholto Douglas and Trenton Bricken. Some quotes: RL in the last year “Okay, so I think the biggest thing that's changed is that RL in language models has finally worked. We finally have proof of an algorithm that can give us expert human reliability and performance, given the right feedback loop.” The importance of model size “All of the interpretability work on superposition states that the models are always under-parametrized, and they're being forced to cram as much information in as they possibly can. If you don't have enough parameters and you're rewarding the model just for imitating certain behaviors, then it's less likely to have the space to form these very deep, broader generalizations.” Analysis of circuits “I think people are still sleeping on the circuits work that came out, if anything, because it's just kind of hard to wrap your head around." Automated white collar worker in 2-5 years “There is this whole spectrum of crazy futures. But the one that I feel we're almost guaranteed to get - this is a strong statement to make - is one where at the very least, you get a drop-in white collar worker at some point in the next five years. I think it's very likely in two, but it seems almost overdetermined in five. On the grand scheme of things, those are kind of irrelevant timeframes. It's the same either way. That completely changes the world over the next decade…" https://lnkd.in/guc8AzGj

Affiliate Retention > Mass Sampling At Fresh Influence Ltd, we prioritise building community and long-term affiliate relationships over a scattergun sampling approach. We constantly see far stronger returns from retaining a group of high-quality TikTok Shop affiliates who genuinely connect with the brand and care about the brand. These creators post multiple times, build trust with their audience and become genuine advocates, not just one-off posters. Sending products to thousands of affiliates often results in single posts with little connection to brand messaging, minimal impact, poor product understanding and no longer-term value. TikTok Shop isn’t just about volume, it’s about community, credibility and consistency. What can happen with a scattergun approach? • Loss of profit on samples with little return • One piece of content per affiliate that quickly disappears • Affiliates who aren’t connected to your brand message • Inconsistent brand positioning • No long-term momentum or repeat exposure • Managing lots of low-value partnerships Our approach: build a loyal network of creators who grow with your brand providing sustained visibility, stronger conversions and a loyal community.

📊 EURUSD Weekly Outlook The market currently maintains a bullish structure, forming higher highs and higher lows. I’m anticipating a retracement into a key Point of Interest (POI) — an area where I’ll be watching closely for a potential continuation of the trend. These zones often serve as launchpads for further bullish expansion. Key Areas on My Radar: Liquidity Zones: Price may seek out recent lows to collect liquidity before any potential upward move. These areas act as natural magnets for price action. Order Block (OB): This is typically the last bearish candle (or sequence of three) before a strong bullish expansion. It represents a high-probability demand zone where I’ll monitor for rejection and lower-timeframe confirmation. 🧠 Staying patient and waiting for price to come to my levels — react, not predict. #trader #analyst #forex #Eurusd

Pablo's AJ Bell campaign declares investing is for everyone// Award-winning DIY investment platform returns to screens with a campaign that literally crashes through barriers to investing Stephen Vowles, CMO at AJ Bell, said: “AJ Bell’s combination of easy-to-use, low-cost products, excellent customer service and a trusted brand helped drive record growth last year, with the business achieving a 4.9-star Trustpilot rating and brand awareness reaching an all-time high. Building on this momentum, our exciting new advertising campaign, which focuses on the message that investing can be for anyone, will help us attract new customers and capitalise on the significant long-term growth opportunity in the market.” Dan Watts, Chief Creative Officer at Pablo London, said: “How do you prove investing isn’t just for the mega yachting 0.0001%? Easy – you send Shirley from Derby to crash their party on a giant brass-bell jet ski. Investing can seem like a velvet-roped club reserved for the 0.0001%, but with AJ Bell, anyone can get involved. Even people who think compound interest is a prison dating app.” Louise Hayward, Managing Partner at Pablo, said: "Not many investment platforms say yes to allowing supersized golden bells crashing into stuffy auction halls as a way to bring to life an important message: that the world of investing through AJ Bell is open, welcoming, and genuinely for everyone. Getting to such distinctive work in such a fun and collaborative way has made for a brilliant second chapter for our ‘Feel Good, Investing’ platform." How We Ranked a Vape Client in the UK Without Using Ads – A Real SEO Win Last year, we onboarded a unique client from the UK’s vape industry—a niche with significant restrictions on paid advertising due to Meta’s special ad category policies. This meant no Facebook or Instagram ads, making traditional digital marketing extremely limited. But we love a good challenge! 📌 Our main objective: Increase e-commerce sales through organic methods 📌 The obstacle: No paid ads allowed on social media platforms 📌 The solution: A strategic, long-term SEO campaign Here's what we did: ✅ Conducted in-depth keyword research tailored to the niche ✅ Optimized every product page with search intent in mind ✅ Built high-quality, relevant backlinks ✅ Created user-centric blogs designed to drive both traffic and conversions ✅ Navigated Google’s algorithm while remaining compliant with content restrictions related to vape products As a result, nearly all products now rank in the Top 3 positions on Google. In competitive SEO terms, those top 3 positions are as good as number 1, since they dominate user clicks. This success story reinforces how powerful SEO can be—even in ad-restricted industries. If you're in a niche where traditional digital advertising is limited, let’s talk about how SEO can work for you too

One of our portfolio companies Tradeaze LTD is absolutely smashing it. 👉 Their last funding round was way oversubscribed. 👉 They raised a huge £1.1 million. 👉 And their total funding to date is £3 million ! And since they closed that funding round in March, they’ve increased revenue by more than 2.5x. Incredible work. That's not a one-off spike - they've consistently doubled their run rate over the past few months. Recently, they've cracked the code on marketplace dynamics that most logistics startups struggle with. Tradeaze started with 10 of their own vans to "fake" the supply side while building demand. Smart move - most marketplaces fail because they can't solve the chicken-and-egg problem. Now they're running 90% pure gig drivers across all vehicle types. 1,330+ drivers on the platform vs. less than 50 in January. They kept a few company vans, to test new services like gas transportation before rolling to the gig network. Trade logistics is a massive, underserved market. When tradespeople need materials "yesterday," current delivery options are too slow or too expensive. Tradeaze built the on-demand solution the industry was waiting for. The best investments are solving obvious problems that everyone else ignores. Well done Jack Hopkins, Ruben Engel, Joe Blair and team! #tradeaze #logistics #portfolio #ondemand #trades
