Well the good news is, is that this never happened in the games. Only in books written about the games that were interpretations of events. But not actual. So people who don’t want the hero of time to have a good ending can choose to believe this. And others that want to follow what is in the game can enjoy his successes in OOT (despite losing his fairy), and then his final acceptance of the loss in MM.

Him removing his helmet also undoes his season 3 story arc, but whatever. Book of Boba Fett also undid the Mando Season 2 arc. Disney is going to Disney.

I hope 60 year-old Grogu starts to speak soon. Even Baby Groot had to grow up at some point.

RotJ was all about Luke fixing his failures from ESB. He's failed time again, and learned from them, and saved the galaxy from the Emperor (until the sequels took that from him). If a youngish Luke was able to accept his failures and save his father from the dark side, surely, and older and wiser Luke could have found a way to try and save his nephew from the same fate.

Hamill was right about the complete character assignation the sequels did to Luke's character. If anything the OT showed, Luke was always a proactive hero (once Obi-Wan kicked him into gear), to the point he had to be told to dial it back by Obi Wan and Yoda. Even if Luke had made a mistake while training his nephew, he should have been chasing him around the galaxy to make it right, similar to what he did in RotJ.

Palpatine using Dooku as a red herring to through off the Jedi until Anakin was ready to be corrupted was such a brilliant move.

But in regards to Dooku's comments to Obi-Wan at the end of AotC makes it almost seem like Dooku thinks he's acting as a double agent to get close to the Sith, presenting himself as a hero, in order to take him out (although he's clearly operating in his own self-interests). Kind of a tragic irony that he told Obi-Wan the truth about there being a Sith plotting to destroy the Jedi and republic. If Obi-Wan had believed him, the war may have gone differently.

It has become very fashionable to cast the Jedi as anything other than heroes in recent fiction, or to point out their flaws, or to portray them as villains. This may be part of the reason Star Wars has been failing for the past few years.

Star Wars isn’t science fiction. It isn’t supposed to hold a mirror up to society and make you think. Star Wars is space fantasy. Escapism. There are real heroes and villains and it is easy to tell the difference. The Jedi were always portrayed as the heroes, and to call them anything else is essentially telling fans of the Jedi that they have been wrong to idolize them.

The Jedi take kids away from their parents because force sensitive kids are essentially born weapons. Weapons that need to be properly trained and equipped to control their emotions so they don’t do something evil.
