House of the Dragon season 2 properly begins the Dance of the Dragons, and it's a mostly strong return from the Game of Thrones prequel.

HOTD was and is freaking awesome. Rhaenyra is so captivating. There isn't a show you will watch that couldn't use tweaks and twerks, but nonetheless you still watch. I can't wait can't wait till season 3 it just stinks you have to wait so dang long in between seasons. You already know it's going to be successful so start planning out for season 4 LOL. I hope they change the outcome so Rhaenyra can rule onger than a few months. Take care and God bless

I have admittedly yet to watch Game of Thrones yet, due to my pre-existing bias against the fantasy genre. Boy, I wasn't disappointed with HOTD and its prowess with interpersonal drama. Half star only for the slow down in season 2!

Brilliant tv I can't get enough of watching house of dragons the acting is superb all the actors are believable and consistent in there characters development now watch all over again for second time ! Also reading all the books on audio. Of game of thrones which is disappointing due to the sequential layout of the books and poor audio reading .

Emma D'Arcy plays rheanyra Targaryen not alicent hightower , she's played by Olivia cook. Otto hightower is Rhys Ifans I didn't even check how many of the other cast credits are mistakes. 8/10 for the show edit: I did check and every single one is wrong, if this in wasn't done by a disgruntled ex employee, you should make it so.

House of the Dragon is really really good and I enjoyed season two until it ended two episodes too early. Why did the budget get cut for it to have to resort to doing this. Thinking about how epic the Battle of the Gullet could have been in episode 9 while the finale dealt with the fallout. Can't wait for season 3 though. Going to feel like forever.

As someone late to the Game of Thrones phenomenon, seeing House of the Dragon unfold has been an enjoyable experience. While there are developments based on events that will come to Westeros much later on, I feel it is still an accessible entry point to the series, with a strong cast that will keep you enthralled. While certain developments may feel like a matter of convenience or a product of a development that could have been solved via discussion, that just makes the events all the more tragic, as the Targaryan dynasty is torn apart by outside manipulations and old ways that will only lead to more conflict.

House of the Dragon is a masterpiece — focused, intense, and beautifully written. Unlike Game of Thrones, which often strayed from its core, HOTD sticks to the heart of the story: power, bloodlines, and legacy. The pacing is sharp, the tension is constant, and every character feels purposeful. The show doesn't try to be massive — it tries to be meaningful, and it succeeds. The Kingsguard are finally portrayed the way they were meant to be — not background extras, but political weapons in armor.
And the dragons? They’re on another level. These aren’t lazy CGI blobs like in late-season GOT — every dragon in HOTD has presence, weight, and character. Vhagar alone makes Drogon look like a pet lizard. The cinematography is stunning, the dialogue is sharp, and the performances are unforgettable. This isn’t just a return to Westeros — this is Westeros finally done right. 10/10, no hesitation.

I at first never really got into GOT but after watching the HOD I had to watch it and now I'm addicted to it. I LOVE it. Matt Damon is AWESOME as Damien. He really bring the character to life. But then again he did in Dr Who as well. Played the Dr well in that too. And Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra. Just absolutely superb!!!! I LOVE all the characters and actors they did amazing! But I'm sad that we have to wait 2 years for season 4. And that it may be the last season. I love dragons they are my favorite mythical creatures. And that what first got me interested in HOD. But I'm very pleased that I did. The show is AWESOME!

I just love everything about this. I was a hard-core Game of Thrones person. And when the house of dragon came out, it’s excellent. I’d like to know when the next season starts just love it everything about it.

Outstanding. Can’t wait for season 3. Of course will have to rewatch seasons 1 & 2 to remember all of the story’s details. Time between seasons is a big downfall.

I absolutely LOVE House of the Dragon!! Season 1 did a good job of giving us King Vicerys and Daemon, two brothers with very different personalities. And then Vicerys’ daughter and named heir, Rynaera(spelled wrong I’m sure). In the second season we see Rynaera grown into a young woman but obviously embracing her position as Queen. But here is the proverbial wrench in her story. Before Vicerys grew old, he wed Alicent Hightower and sired four children with her. The oldest, a son, with the name of the first Targaryen who conquered Westeros, Aegon. Alicent, who was best friends with Rynaera as a child, came to be encouraged by her father Otto, the hand of the king. When King Vicerys dies, the kingdom had sworn to support his daughter Rynaera as Queen of the seven kingdoms, however Otto Hightower saw in his daughter, a woman with a taste for power and drive that could help her father and support her now grown son, Aegon to be named King. And so because of this disputed claim as well as a misheard mention of a dream that Vicerys held up as a prophecy, Alicent now had determination to put her son Aegon on the throne.
All these twists and turns fed into the kingdom Turing their back on Rynaera as heir and gathered in the Dragon Pit that housed the kingdom’s beasts of fire and blood. Many other surprises awaited the “players on the board” as Season two ends with a very anticipated season three.

It is not surprising for the world to say that today the world has reached a good stage of progress, but it is true. Still, we humans can never deny the fact that being made of soil, man remains connected to soil only, because whenever man has to experience natural happiness, he feels happiness to a great extent by connecting with ancient things. This series gives me that happy feeling. I cannot stop myself from watching it, although this is a fictionary but still the charactor who have cast it have put their life into it with their talent.
