Major thumbs down. It wasn't even remotely funny. I feared that would be the case when I saw the trailer. There just wasn't a single gag that worked. I sat there the entire time waiting.....hoping.....something funny would happen, and it never did. I don't think I can lay the blame on Liam Neeson, because with good writing (which this movie didn't have) he can be quite funny. Pamela Anderson I would say was miscast, but given what she was with the character and the dialogue, I don't think any actress could have done well with it. It's a real shame when the writer and director tries ripping off jokes from the original series (i.e. "Coffee?" "Yes, I know.") or from Austin Powers (people's shadows appear to be doing something inappropriate) and it falls completely flat. I'd say any of the glowing reviews for this movie MUST be AI-generated because I can't believe that many people found anything amusing here. The original 3 films were stupid - don't get me wrong - but stupid FUNNY. In this movie, it's stupid....period. Constantly handing each other cups of coffee is supposed to be funny? It isn't. Knowing that Drebin will drive off and pull out the electric charging stations is supposed to be funny? It isn't. Having Liam and Pam cast a spell to bring a snowman to life is supposed to be funny? Again....it just isn't. The whole movie is like that, going on and on with things you can see coming a mile away or sets up something that somehow the writers thought was funny (i.e...listing off members of Black Eyes Peas) and it most definitely is not.

I love Liam Neesen but there is no replacing Leslie Nielsen. A decent follow up and I did laugh but it only makes you want to watch the first three movies that came out in the late 80s and early 1990s.
