Synopsis

A Minecraft Movie Review: Shallow Story & Characters Aside, I Can't Forgive The Video Game Adaptation For Forgetting To Be Fun

Some of the best game movies have adventure, heart, humor & good characters. I wish I could say A Minecraft Movie had these things besides adventure.

All of the grown ups are making fun of it, but that the grown ups, I think it is absolutely amazing the how far they come, I think they should do a second one, don't listen to the grown-ups. It's a good movie.

As a 59.year old that has played the game for many years I really enjoyed the movie. My wife who has never played the game also enjoyed it. Just a great fun movie

This movie was really smart, its heavily memed but at my theatre everyone was cheering and clapping and yelling alot and every session was fully booked, even though its made fun of some parts were genuinely funny and some were funny without the intent to be but nontheless best movie ive seen in years, loved it.

It was awesome and also I’m def not fangirling over Henry, LOL. Anyways, super awesome movie, love the ref to Technoblade, and def recommend! Btw why yall hating on the movie its so good aswell as the kids cheering, just made the movie better, the rant on the memes is quite deserved, but I respect your opinion!

Alright. Most of the cast was boring and overshadowed by Jack Black. Minor plot holes. Villain is boring and they never fully explain there motivation other than they hate creativity. The macguffin was actually used sufficiently and it can be understood why it’s so important.

The casting is a lil off,some corny parts didnt hit well; especially the slight cringe musical key parts
But for a movie targeted for younger people, its a pretty good tho, some jokes here and there did land.

Incredible movie, and amazing lines. I wanted to throw a blue ball at the screen and say "An Enderpearl, but alas, I did not have one. Loved the Chicken Jockey scene, because it was so freaking funny.

I’ve never played Minecraft, but the kids in the theater loved it which is what matters. But the only real fun I had was Momoa and Black’s bromance. If that was the focus of the movie, it could’ve been great. Instead, often bogged down by a familiar narrative and boring villain
