Worldwide, obesity has nearly tripled since 1975. Despite recent spikes in public knowledge regarding weight loss drugs and an increased access to weight loss surgery through updated guidelines, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that rates of obesity have not significantly changed in over 10 years.
