New data provided by Famitsu gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of July 2026.

Two Nintendo games had massive debuts during the month. Rhythm Heaven Groove sold close to 700,000 physical copies at retail while Splatoon Raiders wasn’t far off from 500,000 units.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered seems to be off to a good start on Nintendo Switch 2. In its first week, the game is already at #1, showing there’s a lot of interest in the port as well as the physical release.

Elsewhere, there’s still a lot of love for Nintendo. Pokemon Pokopia and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream are still going strong at #2 and #3 respectively. Meanwhile, Mario Kart World has moved up from #9 to #4.

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 eShop charts for the week of August 16, 2026 are now available.

Splatoon Raiders has been on a hot streak at #1 for a bit now. However, that honor now goes to The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. The make game is on top with its Deluxe Edition also in the top five.

That’s not all for new releases. Madden NFL 27 also seems to be doing well so far, coming in second. The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition lands for the first time at #5 while Duskfade is at #9.

The latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week of August 15, 2026 are now available.

We’ve been saying it for awhile now, but yes, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is still safely in the top spot. At this point, it might taken an unexpected big release or a notable sale to overthrow it.

There is something worth talking about outside of that though. The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition debuts #16 overall, but it’s third in the download-only ranking.

Interestingly, Resident Evil Requiem has returned to the top of the list. It was at #1 last week, so it may have been boosted by a sale.

For Nintendo games, Pokemon Pokopia has risen a couple of spots to #3. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream holds on to its same #4 spot.

Nintendo recently shared new data revealing the best-selling games on the Japanese Switch 2 and Switch eShops for July 2026.

On Nintendo Switch 2, Splatoon 3 had a massive debut and it’s no surprise to see it at #1 here. Village in the Shade may also be a hit for Nippon Ichi Software – while it came out at the end of the month, it lands in second.

There are a few other new games as well. One of these is Digimon Story: Time Stranger, which has three different entries because of different editions.

Three new games launched this week – specifically Lies of P, Final Fantasy 14, and Big Walk. All three have different entries towards the top of the list.

Other new titles are also on the horizon. With pre-loads, Madden NFL 27 hits #7, Duskfade is at #20, and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered’s Deluxe Edition is at #5.

The latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week of August 8, 2026 are now available.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has been on a huge hot streak, and that continues once again. Nothing manages to come close to this one.

That said, there is a notable new release. Kynseed initially appears at #11, and on the download-only list, it’s in second.
