How to Complete A Foolproof Plan in Where Winds Meet

Throughout your journeys in Where Winds Meet, players will come across various NPCs who are in need of aid. Most of the events you uncover are pretty well hidden, they are not something you can truly track or follow. Some will ask you to do something within the world, but one in particular early on will task you with bringing him a specific item. Parting Tears is essentially a form of alcohol in the MMORPG, being an “exquisite wine from the Heaven’s Pier region.” This is something you might come across while in the main story, but will not know what to do with it as it’s tied to specific side stories. Thankfully, if you’re having trouble locating where to find these Tears, we have the answers.

A Foolproof Plan

When you get to Heaven’s Pier (the second region), you will eventually come across a small village where Uncle Zhou is preparing for a big festival. In the main quest, you are told to head to Aunt Han and help out at her establishment.

On the way out of the small village, you will come across Shu Shu, a young traveler who beckons to you to talk to him. Upon speaking with him, he will reveal that he has a treasure map that will ensure anyone who seeks it out will be bathed in riches.

When asking how much he wants for it, he will say that he doesn’t want any money, but will instead part with it for a good cup of wine. He tasks you with finding a single container of Parting Tears and bring it back to him in exchange for the treasure map.

Parting Tears Locations

There are a couple of places throughout Heaven’s Pier where you'll be able to find some loose Parting Tears.

The Docks

The first can be found directly at the docks where they are unloading huge barrels full of the Parting Tears. This is located on top of the small set of barrels in front of the vases.

Yuan Tiantian Stall Owner

Head back into town where you can enter Heaven’s Pier through the long winding pathway across the water. There will be a stall owner with a noodle bowl icon above her head named “Yuan Tiantian” who has a Parting Tears Reserve bottle on her table.

Drinking Area

From where you picked up the reserve, do a 180-degree turn and go towards the drinking area. Right next to Song Wu will be a small bench that has Annals of Geography and the Parting Tears sitting on the top.

Workshop

Last but not least, there will be a Large Jar of Parting Tears you’ll be able to find in the main area where you interacted with Uncle Zhou, under a roof next to a young woman.

All that needs to be done is return to Shu Shu. He will trick you by simply giving you a picture of the Killerblade, saying that if you find and kill him you will become rich. Before you can get your item back, he drinks it and disappears. Along the road going to Aunt Han, you will notice Shu Shu being bullied by two soldiers. By interacting with them, you will save Shu Shu’s life, and you will complete the A Foolproof Plan Wandering Tale.
