You can take this Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to get access to a shop where you can buy the following items:

How To Get The Patches' Bell Bearing

You'll get this Bell Bearing by completing Patches (NPC)'s questline or by killing him when you face him in a bossfight (see Patches (Boss)), even though this isn't recommended, as you'll miss out on his questline.

. To start Patches' questline, you must first meet him. He's the boss of Murkwater Cave, in Limgrave. Head to the giant lake in the middle of the region and then move to the north towards the river. Eventually, you'll find the entrance to the cave. Alternatively, you can find the entrance marked on the map below:

Once inside, go across the first hallway and then head right as you enter the first room. Be sure you kill the Highwaymen inside so they don't chase you, as they are a lot. The small entrance you just got into leads to the boss room where you'll face Patches as a boss. For more information, see Patches (Boss).

Patches will surrender midway through the battle; if you want to progress through his questline, don't kill him. If you are only looking for his bell bearing, you can kill him, but note that his questline will be unaccessible from now on.

2. After accepting Patches' surrender, talk to him, exhaust all his dialogues and choose the option "Forgive and Forget" when asked. After that, reload the game to unlock Patches' shop.

3. The next step is to meet Rya at Liurnia of the Lakes to start her questline. Rya is located near the telescope of Liurnia of the Lakes, inside a small pavillion. This is close to the Scenic Isle Site of Grace. Talk to her; she'll ask you to retrieve her necklace, Rya's Necklace.

3.1. The necklace will be found at the Boilprawn Shack, north of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace. Here, you'll meet Blackguard Big Boggart. Buy the Necklace from him, then give it to Rya. She'll hand you the Volcano Manor Invitation.

Returning to Patches, you can find him at the Scenic Isle Site of Grace. However, this is optional.

4. The next step is to access the Altus Plateau and defeat Magma Wyrm Makar to make Patches move to Mt. Gelmir. This time, instead of entering via the Grand Lift of Dectus, you are going to do it via the Ruin-Strewn Precipice Site of Grace. This place is located in northern Liurnia, in the ravine connected to the lake. Head there and go across the ravine, which will lead you to the Ravine-Veiled Village Site of Grace.

From here, climb up the ladder nearby, and follow the ladder path until you enter a cave. This is the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Once inside, climb the first ladder, go through the hallway nearby and take a right into the next room to find an elevator. Activate it to go up, then cross the hallway south and go across the next room until you reach the back. There's a small path to the left; go through there.

Once outside, you'll find the Ruin-Strewn Precipice Site of Grace, and an elevator next to it. Go up, then up the staircase nearby, and follow the only path of this zone. It'll take you to a ladder; climb it up. Once at the top, go west to find a second ladder you must climb up. Then, follow the wooden plank path and take a left to find a third ladder to climb. Head south at the top to find an elevator. This one will take you to the Ruin-Strewn Precipice Overlook Site of Grace, which is a checkpoint before the battle against Magma Wyrm Makar. Here, you'll be able to invoke Blackguard Big Boggart to help you in the battle, and if you haven't reached Volcano Manor yet, you'll also be able to invoke Great Horned Tragoth.

5. After defeating Magma Wyrm Makar, a new path will open, which leads to the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace and lets you enter the Altus Plateau. Patches is officially now at Mt. Gelmir. Let's reach it.

Now, you'll have to go through the Altus Plateau to reach the pathway that will take you to Mt. Gelmir. For extra help, consult the map below, following the points in numerical order. Note that as you reach the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge Site of Grace (point 3), you'll have to use a teleporter that will take you to point 4.

This will lead you to the Bridge of Iniquity Site of Grace. From there, head west and be attentive to the cliffside to your left, as you'll find a ladder that will take you to the zone above, where you'll find the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace. Head northwest and go past the tower. After that, you'll find a natural bridge where you'll find a message that says "Rainbow Stones lead the way to riches...". Now, follow the Rainbow Stones until you reach the cliff, which will activate a cutscene with Patches kicking you out of Mt. Gelmir and teleporting you to Seethewater River.

6. Teleport yourself back to the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace and follow the natural path that will take you to Volcano Manor. Once inside, talk to Tanith and agree to serve her. From now on, you'll find Patches in the hallway after the entrance to the manor. Also, to progress through Patches' questline, you'll have to follow the Volcano Manor questline. 7. Once you have done the first assassination request, talk with Patches, who will assign you an assassination on his own, this time to kill Great Horned Tragoth. As you have already defeated Magma Wyrm Makar, teleport to the Magma Wyrm Site of Grace and explore the cave to find the summon sign that lets you invade him. As you kill Tragoth, head back to the Manor and report your success to Patches. Reload the game after that and he'll give you the Magma Whip Candlestick.

8. Return to the Volcano Manor questline until you have defeated Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. Once you have done that, talk to Tanith, Knight Bernahl, and finally, Patches. This will make him move to the next location, The Shaded Castle.

The Shaded Castle is north of where you invaded Rileigh the Idle, the second assassination contract of the Volcano Manor questline. You'll need to find the boss of this zone, Elemer of the Briar. Talk to him to receive the Dancer's Castanets. You can kill him at this point, letting you get his bell bearing. Alternatively, you can leave the zone, rest at any Site of Grace and return to the Murkwater Cave to find Patches there.
