Salvage Yard Robberies

[edit | edit source]
Stealing this caliber of car in Los Santos will be no simple feat. Jamal’s operation involves robberies and a weekly rotation of target vehicles that Yusuf is fixing his sights on for his collection. Each robbery entails scoping out some initial intel, completing Preps and new Freemode Tasks, and culminates in a high-speed Finale.
While you’ll be able to recognize the target vehicle by its flashy customized license plate, these robbery plans will require a wide range of techniques and skills, disguises and undercover work, hacking and disabling countermeasures, as well as reliable driving abilities and split-second decision-making in the heat of the chase.
—Rockstar Newswire.

A set of Contract-style missions available for 1-4 players. Yusuf Amir and his cousin Jamal task the player with stealing several high-profile cars, at which point the player may decide to sell them to Yusuf, or break them down and sell them for scrap.

Tow Truck Service

[edit | edit source]

Upgrade the yard with a Tow Truck, allowing you to tow designated delinquent vehicles back to the Salvage Yard for another source of auto parts.

New Drift Races

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Drift Races
Lean into those hairpin turns and over-rotate your tires in pursuit of the perfect amount of angle in Drift Races, utilizing specialized drift tuning kits for the new Fathom FR36 (Coupe) along with seven previously released vehicles.
Rather than just the usual race to the finish, this mode awards crucial Drift Points based on a combination of criteria, including bonuses for Precision Drift and your final racing position. String together a series of shorter swerving turns to build a multi-chain mega drift or push the limits to try and reach the ultimate status of Drift God.
Watch out for obstacles though, as love-tapping a lamppost could cost you your current multiplier. Whoever finishes with the most Drift Points wins. Drift Races are available to all LS Car Meet members, and take place across seven classic Los Santos destinations, including Legion Square, Vespucci Beach, the Vinewood Hills, Mirror Park, and more.
—Rockstar Newswire.

Seven new Drift Races were added. These races reward players for continuously drifting, and the player with the most "drift points" wins the race.

[E&E] Shoot Animals Photography Challenge

[edit | edit source]

An amateur wildlife photography competition by the LS Tourist Board in the form of Daily Collectibles, exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S Editions, with the same objective as the Wildlife Photography Challenge from Grand Theft Auto V. It was added with the Park Ranger Week on January 4, 2024.

Players can photograph at least 3 different animals per day, which are specified by the LS Tourist Board at Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness, to unlock a special outfit and the Park Ranger for purchase at Warstock Cache & Carry.

New Drag Races

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Drag Races
Timing is key in these races as you’ll need to dodge traffic while changing gears. Warm your wheels with a burnout at the starting line, build speed by perfectly climbing gears, and avoid collisions to emerge victorious in this new Race Series for LS Car Meet Members. You also get a limited supply of Nitrous during Drag Races — deploy it wisely to pass an opponent or steal victory in the home stretch.
—Rockstar Newswire.

Seven new Drag Races were added with the Drag Races Week (January 2024) on January 25, 2024.

The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid

[edit | edit source]
You’ve already received a call from former Diamond Casino head of security turned LSPD officer Vincent Effenburger — now you’ll have the opportunity to work together in an unorthodox, but profitable, collaboration to take down a new cartel running a large-scale operation out of the Cluckin' Bell factory in Paleto Bay.

An entirely new heist in a form of contact mission strand with two different approaches, set in the Clucking Bell Farms in Paleto Bay, currently serving as a front for a drug cartel narcotrafficking operation since its recent arrival in the state. It was added with The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid Week event on March 7, 2024.

New Transform Races

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Transform Races
In Known Unknown Races, switch to a different vehicle at various checkpoints, cycling randomly through a predetermined list until each available vehicle has been utilized. In Unknown Unknown Races, these vehicle switches are more unexpected, challenging players to adjust on the fly to a randomly selected ride drawn from a larger pool of available vehicles.

Seven new Transform Races were added with the Transform Races Week on April 4, 2024.

Snowball Fights

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Snowball Fights

Five new Team Deathmatch maps were added with the Festive Surprise 2023 event on December 21, 2023 for a limited time.

In Snowball Fights, the stakes are lethal: a hit from an opposing team’s snowball is a one-hit kill. Engage in the epic winter battle across five unique locales, and dodge salvos of frosty fire to emerge victorious.

The more you move, the harder it is to get hit by an enemy snowball. Cover is useful, but standing still will make you a sitting duck. Gang up with teammates, wait until your opponents are out of snowballs, and unleash a well-timed barrage to come out on top.

Salvage Yard

[edit | edit source]
Main article: Salvage Yards
Behind the peeling facade of Red’s Auto Parts lies the untapped potential of a sophisticated robbery operation. Combined with your skills and Yusuf’s eye for exotic automobiles, the new Salvage Yard business serves as the perfect front. It’s low-key enough not to attract suspicion from the authorities, yet equipped with everything you’ll need to pull off breathtaking robberies of the most in-demand vehicles across Southern San Andreas.

[edit | edit source]
Main article: The Vinewood Club

Media Sticks - Even the Score

[edit | edit source]

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of West Coast Classics, DJ Pooh has hidden a special mix that was previously recorded in the station's anniversary party hosted by Dâm-Funk. The player must call in to West Coast Classics for clues in order to unlock the mix, containing 15 tracks of remixed versions of the Grand Theft Auto Online Official Score, including the score tracks from Arena War, The Cayo Perico Heist, The Contract and more, and featuring special shoutouts from familiar faces and notable friends of DJ Pooh to celebrate his legendary run.

From Rampa’s take on the action and suspense of The Cayo Perico Heist II to HEALTH’s industrial rock for the frantically paced Arena Wars, Soulwax’s trippy contributions to Los Santos Drug Wars, or Take A Daytrip’s atmospheric vision of vehicular Import/Export, DāM-FunK Presents The Music of Grand Theft Auto Online Original Score delivers a snapshot of the in-game musical universe, and a new way to interact with the music that has defined the GTA Online experience across the last ten years.
—Rockstar Newswire

On December 15, DāM-FunK Presents The Music of Grand Theft Auto Online Original Score was also made available on Apple Music and Spotify.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • With the new license plates introduced in this update (exclusive to vehicles which can be claimed from Salvage Yard Robberies), two updated state license plates for State of Liberty and Las Venturas' state may be randomly found between 100 possible target vehicles.
    • The new state license plate for Las Venturas introduced in this update, inspired by the real-life Nevada license plate, is the second official indication that Las Venturas and Bone County are not located in San Andreas in the HD Universe.
  • The track featured in the launch trailer is "SOUTHSIDE" by BEAM and Cardo, which samples Take A Daytrip's original version of the score track "Gullywax" featured in the Import/Export update for Grand Theft Auto Online. The aforementioned update introduced Yusuf Amir as an unseen buyer prior to his physical appearance in The Chop Shop update.
  • The track featured in The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid trailer is "Idea V" by Holy Fuck, featured as part of the official score for the Bikers update.
  • Two unofficial, fanmade logos were used in textures for three different props in this update. This is likely a developer oversight by the prop artists. [1]
    • An unofficial Los Santos seal is used in the textures for both the police lockup sign and shipment crates present during The Gangbanger Robbery preparation mission Planning Work: Disrupt Equipment, slightly different to the original seal present in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V. [2]
    • An unofficial Marabunta Grande logo of the same origin, seemingly inspired by the gang members' tattoos, was also included in crate props for The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid. The gang itself never had any official logo. [3] It is left unused with the release of the mission strand, replaced by a generic wooden weapons crate.
