The Formula R is a racing car that only appears in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Design
[edit | edit source]The Formula R assumes the design of a modern Formula One racing car, and as a result, is not meant to be roadworthy and available on the streets of the game. As with a Formula One car, the Formula R features a single-seat driver compartment and a large spoiler on the back.
Performance
[edit | edit source]The Formula R's performance is predictably of the highest end, being very fast in acceleration and top speed, although its steering and brakes remains average-to-good; its durability is also poor than average, owing to its construction.
Locations
[edit | edit source]- The Formula R is only obtainable after unlocking the BOABO auto merchant feature and attain bronze medals in all street races, at which point the car will become available from the auto merchant for $5,000.
- However, one can get a Formula R without purchasing it by doing the "S&M Grand Slam" race. With opponents being Formula Rs, one must not finish the race but instead go to the finishing line once the other drivers have completed. Using your car, push the Formula R towards your nearest safehouse and try to push the vehicle into the garage from the side. When driven out, the car will be unlocked.

[edit | edit source]- Unlike most vehicles in the game, the Formula R does not have a radio. On the PSP version though, it does, and plays Tortoise by default.
