Tin Crystallization Catalyst is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Tin Crystallization Catalyst, a crystal-charged catalyst that greatly boosts sorceries at the cost of halving all spell uses for every magic type. Catalysts are items equipped in a weapon slot that enable spellcasting. They allow you to cast sorceries, which can deal either Strike or Thrust damage depending on the spell. Sorceries are cast using the standard light attack buttons (R1/RB or L1/LB).

Catalyst imbued in terrifying crystal magic. Used by Logan after his fixation on Seath. Makes all sorceries incredibly powerful, but demands extremely high intelligence from its wielder, and halves sorcery usages."

How to Get / Where to Find the Tin Crystallization Catalyst in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered

• Drop: Big Hat Logan (mad). After purchasing all the spells from Logan at The Duke's Archives and defeating Seath the Scaleless, talk to him once more then leave the area or quit/ load game. Return to the room where you fought Seath the Scaleless the first time and you will find him there, defeat him to get his drop. (Note: be sure to purchase all his spells for him to go mad, even the ones you already have.)
• Alternatively, the catalyst can be obtained before defeating Seath the Scaleless by killing passive Big Hat Logan in The Duke's Archives after buying all of his spells. This will prevent the player from obtaining Logan's Catalyst and the remainder of the Big Hat's Set as killing him at this point fails the questline.

• Give to Frampt to receive 1 souls.
• Recommend Int levels: 32+
• While you wield this catalyst in either hand, your maximum number of castings available for all spells will be halved (for pyro spells and miracles also).
• Despite the catalyst being made of crystal, it can be repaired like normal at any blacksmith or a Bonfire if you have a Repairbox.

• The spell trade-off of this catalyst would later be replicated with Azal's Staff in Dark Souls 2 and Sage's Crystal Staff in Dark Souls 3.
