Level | Dark Souls

Level (also known as Soul Level) is a Stat in Dark Souls. This is the player's current level and will increase when leveling any other Stat.

Level Information & Notes

• The player can increase their level at Bonfires using souls
  obtained by slaying enemies or using consumable Soul items.
• The number of souls needed to level up will increase with every level.
• Each level allows the player to add a permanent increase to one of eight attributes:
  • Vitality
  • Attunement
  • Endurance
  • Strength
  • Dexterity
  • Resistance
  • Intelligence
  • Faith
• Max level (when all eight stats are at 99) depends on the player's starting class.
  • The starting class with the highest max level is Sorcerer at 713, followed by Knight and Thief at 711, Bandit, Cleric, Deprived, Hunter, and Warrior at 710, and Wanderer and Pyromancer at 709.
• The number of souls required to go up one level follows the equation y = 0.02x^3 + 3.06x^2 + 105.6x - 895, where x is the next level, and y is the number of souls required.
