The Black Knight Shield is a Shield in Dark Souls. This shield offers slightly less Stability and Magic defense compared to the Silver Knight Shield, but it excels in providing the best Fire defense of any shield in the game. You can acquire this shield by defeating any Black Knight found throughout the game.

Shield of the Black Knights that wander Lordran. A flowing canal is chiseled deeply into its face. Long ago, the black knights faced the chaos demons, and were charred black, but their shields became highly resistant to fire.

• Drops from The Black Knight. (5% chance - Undead Burg, Undead Parish, Darkroot Basin, The Catacombs, Northern Undead Asylum, Tomb of Giants and Kiln of the First Flame)

• The strongest fire resistance shield in the game.
• When maxed it has stability on par with most great shields while weighing only 6 units. The perfect Shield for those of any character type that desires the defenses of a great Shield with the weight of a medium Shield.
• Has the 3rd highest stability of the medium shields.
• Of it's class it is the heaviest medium shield in the game.
• There is a typo in the description. It should say "Lordran", but it says "Lordan" instead.
• This shield reappears in Dark Souls 3.
