AnonymousI'm confused about the usefulness of stealth proficiency and expertise. Doesn't it just affect the chances of you being spotted when crossing an enemy's line of sight (red areas) which you shouldn't be doing anyway?

AnonymousIs this stackable with Charakter background and race? Or is it wasted and cannot stack? f.e. urchin and woodelf should give me stealth +2

Anonymousdoes anybody know if stealth +1 armor changes the vision cone of npcs or does it only affect skill checks?

DID NOT know you can stay in stealth when entering the red vision cone, that changes alot.

Absolutely useless skill to have proficiency in.
1)You succeed at stealth 100% of the time if you are outside of line of site.
2) Inside line of site you will get detected 100% of the time by creatures with darkvision, and almost everyone has darkvision, most of player races and definitely all the monsters. Same for clearly lit spaces. Which leaves around 5-10% chance of success when in line of sight.
3) Even if by some miracle stars have aligned and creature has no darkvision, and area is dimly lit, and you succeeded on stealth check... you will keep rolling until you fail. "Oh, so you succeeded on your check, let's try again. Success? Roll again. Again. Again."
