Happy is a Status Effect in Baldur's Gate 3. Status Effects are the different conditions that can affect characters in both positive and negative ways.

Effect: Astarion's vampiric hunger has been temporarily sated. +1 to all Attack Rolls, Saving Throws, and most Ability Checks.

 

How to Acquire Happy

  • Let Astarion drink blood during a Long Rest.
  • Let Astarion drink the blood of another creature. You can talk to him and set limits on whose blood he can drink - anyone, hostiles and animals, or animals only.

 

How to Remove Happy

  • Perform a Long Rest.

 

Happy Notes & Tips

  • If you let Astarion drink your blood you will get Bloodless, which has the exact opposite effect.
  • To avoid the Debuff, using one of Withers puppets is a viable source of drinking for Astarion.

      You can remove Bloodless by using Lesser Restoration. To avoid using spellslots, get the Amulet of Silvanus. It's in The Emerald Grove, in the path between Volo and the Elevator, hiding under a moveable rock near where the fishing bear is.
