Crown of Karsus is a magic artifact created by legendary Netheril mage Karsus. Crown of Karsus is a plot piece in Act 3. Some Items can be consumed, granting various effects like buffing the Character or restoring HP, while others can be used to interact with the environment or provide Lore about Baldur's Gate 3 world.

Baldur's Gate 3 Information Crown of Karsus

The Crown of Karsus is a very powerful item and anyone who wields it is said to obtain godlike powers. The crown was taken by the archdevil Mephistopheles and held in a vault for more than a thousand years. This was until someone managed to steal the crown from Mephistopheles and bring it back to Faerûn.

On Honour Mode the artifact itself gains a free spell once per round, akin to a legendary action:

Karsite Grip:

  • 8d8 (8~64) Force damage
  • Crush a creature's being with pure Netherese energy that can fork across to three other targets within 8m.
  • DC 20 Dexterity saving throw
  •  Range: 18 m / 60 ft
