After leveling up the cemetery in Graveyard Keeper by using repair kits, planting flowerbeds, and crafting new headstones, players will be elevated to the status of cleric by the Bishop. This comes with many positives, but the donkey who delivers corpses isn't too pleased about being left behind in the mud. The donkey demands payment in carrots, which can be grown via farming or bought, and he also won't deliver any more corpses until he's been given oil for his squeaky cart wheels.

How to Get Peat in Graveyard Keeper
How to Get Peat in Graveyard Keeper

Peat is required in Graveyard Keeper to make fertilizer and flowerbeds. Here's where to buy peat and how to craft it.

To get oil in Graveyard Keeper, players can craft it via a Vine Press, but as this requires advanced technology, it's much easier to buy Seed Oil from the NPC called Dig.

If players do want to make the Seed Oil themselves, they will need to research Transplanting, Grape Farming, and then Wine Making to get access to a Vine Press.

Where To Buy Seed Oil In Graveyard Keeper

Graveyard Keeper - Dig NPC Location on Map

Oil can be bought from Dig, who is found east of the village, along the main road, amongst some stone ruins. He is an old man with an orange tunic.

From Dig, players simply need to buy 1 Seed Oil, which costs 30 Bronze coins.

Dig also sells Hemp and Hemp Rope for when players need those items.

They can then take the Seed Oil back to the donkey, and as long as they build the carrot box and put carrots in, he will continue delivering fresh corpses for autopsies and burials, at least for the time being. He will consume 10 carrots each time, so keep filling the box, and consider researching fertilizer to increase carrot yields. Players should still turn a profit as they get paid for each Burial Certificate.

Getting Honey For Dig In Graveyard Keeper

Graveyard Keeper - Beekeeper Map

After talking to Dig, he will ask the player to bring him 5 pots of Honey in return for a cake recipe, one of many advanced food recipes in Graveyard Keeper. If players want to complete this small quest at the same time as getting oil, below is a quick guide on where to find Honey.

Honey can be produced by the player in Graveyard Keeper, but this requires technology, specialist equipment, and time that the player is unlikely to have at this stage of the game.

Instead, honey can be bought from the Beekeeper, who is found in front of a house slightly northwest of the tavern. There are a ton of beehives in the field to the left of him. He sells Honey for 30 Bronze coins, although the cost increases slightly with each purchase. In total, players will need 1 Silver coin and 60 Bronze coins to buy 5 Honey for Dig.
