Pal Tamers can get their own Shaolong after reaching the World Tree in Palworld. You will stumble upon the water Pal inside a tower as a boss, and you need to defeat it to proceed with the main quest. Players can catch it normally with a sphere like any other Pal, but you need to wait until the Great Tree is accessible before attempting to find it. Here's where to find Shaolong and how to catch it in Palworld.
How To Get Shaolong In Palworld
Head inside the World Tree and explore the southern parts of the map to find Shaolong in Palword. The Pal's location is reached easily from the Alluvion Lakefront Great Eagle Statue. Try to search near the Dualith world boss and the Whalaska Ignis world boss and a Shaolong will appear eventually.
You find the Pal as a normal enemy, even though you fought him as a boss. Instead, Shaolong moves in pairs mostly or if you find a lone Shaolong, another one will be nearby.
Attack Shaolong until the Pal's health is significantly low and then attempt to catch him with a sphere. It's recommended to use a Sol Sphere or an Ancient Sphere, if you can spare any.
Shaolong is a flying mount once you have its saddle. The Pal starts with high watering and gathering skills if you wish to use it in the base. At rank 0, Shaolong's attack increases by 4% for each Dragon Pal you have equipped in the party. Using a Pal Essence Condenser will level up the rank, thus increasing the attack.
The saddle is found at Technology level 77, and it requires the following materials:
- Leather
- High Quality Cloth
- Soralite Ingot
- Paladuim Fragment

After you defeat Auri and Shaolong at Sunreach Island, you can proceed with the main quest until Pal Tamers are asked to catch Panthalus. Next, head to the World Tree and watch a cutscene where the giant Pal helps you gain access to another area.
The Wolrd Tree is a separate map that you can explore leisurely before heading towards the next boss. While exploring, you can go to the southern parts and try to catch a Shaolong if desired. If you are planning to use it in any upcoming battle, make sure to level it up and increase its stats at the Statue of Power.
