Kagurabachi Reveals Special Screening In Summer 2026 For Episode 1
The upcoming Kagurabachi anime is based on a manga series by Takeru Hokazono. It started its run in Weekly Shonen Jump on September 19, 2023, and it’s currently ongoing weekly. Over its run, Kagurabachi has accumulated over 100 chapters, collected in 11 volumes. Kagurabachi has shown massive potential. As of May 1, 2026, the series has hit 4 million sales. With it having reached such a high level of popularity, we weren't surprised when its anime was finally officially announced on April 27, 2026. So far, we have only gotten a key visual and a teaser trailer, but more content is now on the way for fans.
In a special Press Release on June 4, 2026, it was officially revealed to us that Kagurabachi would be getting a special early screening in 2026. Through this screening, some fans will get the chance to watch the first 20 minutes of the first episode of the series. This is very exciting, and this early screening will stand as a proper showcase of the quality of the adaptation by CyPic, as well as set the expectations for us all.

Locations and Dates To Watch Kagurabachi Episode 1
Through the Press Release, it has been confirmed that Kagurabachi is going on a world tour, broadcasting the first episode to thousands of fans all around the world. This exciting World will be happening in some of the world’s biggest anime conventions. So far, 4 locations have been confirmed, and it’s unknown if more will pop up.
The first location that will broadcast the episode for the very first time is Los Angeles, USA. On July 3rd, 2026, North America will get this episode at the Anime Expo 2026. Specifically, the screening will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in the JW Marriott Diamond Room. Fans shouldn’t miss that event which will be between 4:45 and 6:05 PM PDT.
The second location to get the screening will be Paris, France, during the Japan Expo taking place on July 9, 2026. The exact location will be Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte, in the Yuzu Stage room between 3:30 and 4:30 PM CEST.
The third screening is in Mannheim, Germany. This will be during the AnimagiC event on August 1st, 2026. Fans can see the screening between 10:30 -and 11:00 PM CEST at Rosengarten Mannheim, in room Mozart Hall.
The final screening will take the event back to the USA, with New York being the final stop of the world tour. On August 22, 2026, the screening will take place at Anime NYC in the Main Stage area of the Javits Convention Center. Exact times for this screening are not yet decided.
The first two screenings will feature the first episode, but also special appearances from the anime staff. The last two haven’t confirmed any such appearances at the moment. For Los Angeles, panel guests include Taihi Kimura (as Chihiro Rokuhira), Takuro Imamura (Editor of “Kagurabachi” Manga), and Koichi Yasuda (Producer of “Kagurabachi” Anime.) Meanwhile, Paris will get to meet Riki Azuma (Cross-Media Producer of “Kagurabachi” Manga ) and Koichi Yasuda (Producer of“Kagurabachi” Anime.)

The Full Kagurabachi Anime Season 1 Is Set To Be Released In 2027
The fact that many fans will be able to get a glimpse of the long-awaited Kagurabachi anime as early as July 2026 is extremely exciting. With that being said, some fans may be wondering when the rest of the anime will be available globally. At the moment, Kagurabachi only has a release window, which is set for 2027. This means that most fans won’t be able to watch this first episode until then, unfortunately. That said, the first episode being fully polished already and ready to be screened at select locations is a great sign that indicates the anime could be coming sometime in early 2027, and with high quality.
