Two Point Museum has continued its success and popularity since its release in March 2025, and this is partly due to the steady release of downloadable content. What started as simple dinosaur, sealife, and technology museums has evolved (if you forgive the pun) into fantasy lands, a zoo of amazing animals, and an art and sculpture gallery.

If you haven't tried out any of the DLCs when they were offered as limited-time taster sessions, you may be wondering which are the best, and which you should buy first. So, here is everything you need to know about each Two Point Museum DLC, ranked from worst to best.

4 Explorer Upgrade Pack

Coming in still surprisingly strong with the weakest DLC for Two Point Museum, the Explorer Upgrade Pack, which despite being ranked last in this list, is still a great DLC to buy. This is the first DLC you could buy for Two Point Museum, and it offers a large boost to your existing museum. With this pack, you get an extra POI for your explorers to visit and a new pop-up challenge museum to test your curating strengths.

Along with the bonus content, you get a bunch of fabulous cosmetic items and outfits for your staff, more displays for your museum, and a few variations on decor and other item styles.

One of the more interesting items is the exclusive Staff Replenishment Trunk, a handy item that can save some of your weary staff after a particularly perilous expedition.

This pack leans more toward polishing up your existing museums, rather than giving too much extra content, as it was introduced alongside the main Two Point Museum game. We still wanted to include it in this ranked list, however, as it is worth considering after you have explored the other options, or if you just want an enhanced version of the base game.

3 Fantasy Finds

This highly anticipated but disappointing DLC arrived in July 2025, but brought less than was expected to Two Point Museum. While the Fantasy Finds DLC does treat you to a fantastic selection of maps with new exhibits, staff and guest types, there is no new museum. This is a huge downside for many players, who were excited about seeing a large, fantasy-themed building filled with exhibits.

Although the lack of an actual fantasy museum is a downside, the exhibits and other special features are great. If you are a fan of Dungeons & Dragons and all things sword-wielding, potion-brewing and dragon-slaying, then this DLC will still give you hours of entertainment.

Potions play a large part in the Fantasy Finds DLC, and prove to be a lot of fun as you discover each one. Once unlocked, they are used as cargo items, buffing your experts and other staff members as they try to find you more amazing exhibits.

Many of the exhibits are interactive, so you can spend time watching the customers explore each one.

If you were hoping this DLC was going to make a huge difference to your gameplay, you will be disappointed. If, however, you are happy with a boost to exhibits, customer types and a cute fantasy angle to your staffing, then the Fantasy Finds DLC is still worth a look.

2 Arty-Facts

When compared to Fantasy Finds, it almost feels like Arty-Facts has done a complete 180 and has ended up being so full of new features, items, and experiences that it can seem overwhelming. Starting with the new museum building ready to be filled with commissioned and hired pieces of artwork, you have what at first seems like a very basic Two Point Museum experience. After a while, however, it becomes clear that there is more to this DLC than just new items, decor and exhibitions.

This DLC is all about exploring emotions and using them to invoke similar feelings in the guests, as well as going on exhibitions to discover new artwork and to gather resources for sculpture. Your experts can be asked to paint different pieces of art, each one expressing a new emotion.

These emotions then affect the guests and the museum's features. For example, placing a piece of art that evokes rage makes guests feel less angry about high prices, meaning you can hike those prices up without any backlash.

There are a lot of emotions and related effects, and every painting or sculpture can have a new trait that offers another effect for the museum. You don't have to memorize each one, but it does make organizing the layout a little more involved. The staff options are also detailed and slow the hiring process a little as you look through them to make sure you're hiring an Art Expert with Romance in their Emotional Range, and a Theatrical artistic reference.

Arty-Facts is a lot of fun, especially in Sandbox mode, where you can get more space for yourself to build the ultimate art gallery and museum. The new museum introduced by the Arty-Facts is on the small side, and with so much to display and add, it gets pretty cramped during the Campaign. If you are the type of player who revels in figuring out the perfect layout and displaying every exhibit perfectly to get the most out of the guests, then this DLC is definitely for you.

1 Zooseum

The Zooseum DLC came to Two Point Museum in December 2025 with a slightly higher price tag than the first DLC, Fantasy Finds, and this is because Zooseum has a lot more to offer. The addition of a museum is a given, but this museum space is considerably larger than the Arty-Facts space, which is great because there are so many terrariums and habitats to add.

As you may have guessed, this museum is less of a dusty space filled with crumbling bones and cracked vases, and more of a living, breathing building filled with amazing animals. After its release, it quickly became many players' favorite expansion, and it is easy to see why.

The animals you can discover, and subsequently rehabilitate, are just as quirky, adorable and ridiculous as you would expect. A lovely aspect of this DLC is the ability to adopt, breed, and care for wild animals before releasing them back into the wild, rewarding you with Biodiversity Points.

This is actually a key part of the DLC's campaign, and adds real depth to the game. While previously, you could unlock new expeditions by having certain staff types or displaying specific exhibits, Zooseum's new Scorched Earth POIs can be unlocked when you reach a Biodiversity Points level.

This DLC has a lot of what you'd expect from a Two Point Museum content expansion, including new styles for floors, walls and seating, but the best thing about Zooseum's customization content is that it is distinctly different from what's come before. It doesn't feel like reskins of existing decor, but is well-thought-out and carefully created.

If you purchase this DLC, you may just find yourself spending all of your time curating, caring for, and just watching the cute creatures in your zoo/museum. There is so much to do and explore that the rest of your museums start to feel like they are somewhat lacking in depth or detail.
