The world of the Elder Scrolls is one with a very important spiritual pantheon. The Divines and other deities that rule over the land are worshipped differently by particular groups. Many of them have shrines in Skyrim that grant the player a certain blessing with powerful effects.
Some of these shrines are harder to find than others, while some can even be crafted and placed inside your house. While the different effects have varying importance for different playstyles, here is, more generally, all of the shrines ranked.
Updated by Gabrielle Huston on September 9, 2022: Skyrim never gets old. More than a decade later, we're all still booting up this fantasy RPG once in a while. You'd be forgiven for forgetting a lot of the nitty-gritty details! We've covered all the essential info below.

As the God of Mercy and Justice, Stendarr is a Divine that has a loyal following of vampire hunters. The Shrine of Stendarr, which typically resembles a small horn pouring liquid, will give a bonus to your Block skill.
If you run a playstyle where Block is important, this will come in handy. Otherwise, it's of basically no use, making it one of the worst shrines in the game.

Mara is a divine that is called the Mother Goddess. She rules over the power of love and plays an important role in the marriage process in Skyrim.
Her shrine, which has a large cross with a face in the center, will grant the player a ten percent bonus to healing spells. Again, this is useful for people who specifically focus on Restoration. Otherwise, it doesn't have a ton of universal use.
12 Julianos - You Have To Be The Nerd You Want To See In The World

Wisdom and logic are the domain of Julianos. Some of his followers are in charge of keeping the Elder Scrolls themselves, due to Julianos' nature as the god of intelligent endeavors.
His shrine, which looks like an intricately-designed pyramid, will increase your Magicka by 25 points. For mages and other Magicka-using builds, this is essential. Other than that, it won't do much. This bonus is also very common on rings and armor.
11 Boethiah - Cue The Ominous Music

Boethiah is a Daedric Prince, not one of the Nine Divines. This deity rules over murder, assassinations, treason, overthrowing authority, deceptive acts, and conspiracies. His shrine can be found next to the shrines to other Daedric Princes Mephala and Azura in the Raven Rock Temple.
When used, it'll make One-Handed Weapons do ten percent more damage. If you dual-wield One-Handed weapons, this bonus can be deadly.
10 Nocturnal - Lady Luck Is On Your Side

Another Daedric Prince, Nocturnal rules over the night, darkness, stealth. Her shrine can be found in the Thieves Guild's hideout under Riften, which makes sense considering she's also known as Lady Luck.
Nocturnal's shrine will, unsurprisingly, give a bonus to Sneak. This bonus is particularly helpful to stealthy builds, but it is useable by almost anyone, other than maybe someone who loves to run into things guns a-blazin'.

Akatosh, one of the Nine Divines, has an Elvish counterpart, Auriel. This Elvish deity is considered the leader of the pantheon, and is seen as part of "The Everything."
Auriel's shrine, which resembles a large sun, is only found in two places in all of Skyrim: Darkfall Cave and the Inner Sanctum, and only when the player has the Dawnguard DLC. When used, it will confer a blessing that gives a ten percent boost to bows and crossbows.

Akatosh is Auriel's variant in the Nine Divines, according to the Imperial Cult. Like Auriel, he is seen as the leader of his respective pantheon. He represents endurance, invincibility, everlasting legitimacy, while also ruling over time, often manifesting as a dragon.
His shrine will bless the player with Magicka Regeneration. Specifically, Akatosh's blessing will make Magicka regenerate ten percent faster. This will give a bonus to any mage of any school, instead of the school-specific blessings of other shrines.

Kynareth is the goddess of nature and natural elements, as well as some aspects of the sky and air. Her shrine looks like a bird, owl, or wings on a pedestal.
Using this shrine will give the Blessing of Kynareth, which grants an extra 25 Stamina points to the player. This is useful for those who use Stamina-heavy builds like a Two-Handed warrior. But, it also has a use for almost anyone, as Stamina is consumed when running, attacking in some ways, and bashing.

Alongside the Shrine of Boethiah in the Raven Rock Temple is the Shrine of Azura. This Daedric Prince is the deity that rules over dusk, dawn, and the magic realms they inhabit in between the twilight.
Azura's Blessing will give you a ten percent higher resistance to Magic attacks. This is useful for almost anyone. No matter your player build, you'll have to contend with Magic users across the province of Skyrim.
