Last week, Colorado School of Mines students and leaders joined top government officials in Washington, D.C. for a roundtable on the future of the mining and minerals workforce. Hosted by Assistant Secretary of Energy Audrey Robertson and U.S. Department of Energy Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation in partnership with the National Energy Dominance Council, the discussion highlighted the crucial role our students play in shaping the sector for economic and national security. Following the meeting, DOE announced a $100M investment in mining education to promote the growth of America’s critical minerals workforce. Proud to see Mines leading the way!
