Tyler Tyson reposted thisTyler Tyson reposted thisI’ve been at the One Amazon Lane house at AWS re:Invent this week demoing Shop the Show—the experience I’ve been building with my team at Amazon to make it easier for customers to instantly shop the shows, movies, and live sports they’re watching on Prime Video without interrupting the moment. I’m also previewing a new feature we’re piloting: using Lens AI to identify items on the tv screen and make them instantly shoppable. It’s an early look at how we’re connecting video and commerce in a more intuitive, seamless way. If you’re here, stop by the Living Room at One Amazon Lane to see it in action and say hi! Tyler Tyson reposted thisTyler Tyson reposted thisWin for women building the future of health and productivity. 💪🏾 Megan Maloney has closed $8M for Dria Ventures Fund I, backing pre-seed and seed startups that put trust, systems, and people-first tech at the center of care and performance. Early bets include Karoo Health and PitPro Automation, with LPs spanning Next Legacy Partners, GEM, Spring Point Partners, Stardust, General Catalyst, and Handmade Capital Management — plus a network of operators, founders, and investors aligned on impact. Why it matters: This is what practical capital looks like, pairing operator-level insight with early backing for founders solving real-world challenges in cost, access, and outcomes. 💬 What other funds are taking a hands-on approach to the next generation of health and productivity startups?

Tyler Tyson shared thisSo grateful to be among this amazing group of Women!Tyler Tyson shared thisOur She Leads Women’s Empowerment Program has officially graduated its second class of Leaders! To conclude the season-long program, attendees were joined by trailblazing women across various industries and backgrounds who shared their personal journeys of finding their own voice, overcoming obstacles, and creating space for other women to thrive in inclusive environments. The event was eloquently hosted by MiAsia Symone, multi-media personality and radio host, who guided the celebration with energy and grace. The Navigating the Path to Leadership panel, moderated by Alexis Roe, VP, DEI Impact and Strategic Initiatives, provided invaluable wisdom and strategies to grow in leadership and drive agency. Panelists included Lindsey Konves, Director of Distributor Partnerships at Pernod Ricard, Alexis K., VP of the Mahogany Brand & Multicultural Marketing at Hallmark Cards, and Melissa Mitchell, Artist and CEO of Abeille Creations. In a keynote address, Maragret Lane, EVP of Talent & Development at Penske Automotive Group, encouraged our nearly 50 graduates to dream big and lead fearlessly, drawing from her 30+ years of experience in developing impactful industry leaders. Before closing the celebration, our very own Amanda Battle, Belonging and Internal Communications Manager, Alexis Roe and Camye Mackey, our Executive Vice President & Chief People, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer delivered farewell addresses. They encouraged participants to embrace their unique personal power, prioritize healthy support systems, advocate for themselves, and continue growing as well-rounded leaders—creating space for more women to thrive. This graduation would not have been complete without BMW of North America and their unwavering support in empowering the next generation of trailblazers.

Tyler Tyson reposted thisTyler Tyson reposted thisAlmost one year to the day, I left my job as a corporate attorney at Wachtell to chart a new course. Today I’m thrilled to announce the beta launch of Jayla Health, a healthcare company delivering next-generation menopause care. 🎉 With Jayla, women can test their hormones at home, speak with a menopause clinician, and receive a personalized treatment plan along with medication for disruptive symptoms. I started Jayla after undergoing fertility treatments. When it was done, I realized that I had no clue what to expect healthwise in my late 30s and early 40s. My mom prepared me for puberty and the spotlight has deservedly been on fertility, but what comes after that? What should I expect? When should I expect it? And why didn’t anyone prepare me for what comes next? So we’re doing something about that! We’re a team of doctors, geneticists, and change-makers rewriting the script for menopause care. I’m blessed to have an amazing partner in my co-founder, Ari Silver. He’s a strategic thinker with deep expertise in building digital health products. Together, we’re building the healthcare experience our generation deserves. So check out our website, follow our LinkedIn page and socials @jaylahealth, and reach out to us about all things menopause. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this ride so far! 🚀 https://jaylahealth.com/

Tyler Tyson liked thisTyler Tyson liked thisWe are finally open! It’s been a long summer, but we’ve settled into our new home and cut the ribbon on our new space. And I am still trying to find the words. Because this about so much more than just opening a retail store. It represents community. Relationships. Sowing. Some of the seeds that made this day possible were planted years ago. Some by people who had no idea what their mentorship, generosity, support and introductions would grow into. And some were planted when there was very little evidence that they would grow at all. But here we are. Brown Toy Box is open in South Downtown Atlanta. 211 Mitchell Street. And what we have built is a place for littles to come and discover. To discover the things that make them curious. To discover that science can be fun. That they can build something, break something, try again, make art, learn to code, learn to garden, explore, imagine and play. To discover new interests, and possibilities. And, ultimately to discover the path to who they are becoming. This is what I see when I look at these pictures. Yes, I see a beautiful and bright toy store, but I also see an intentional community third space. I see families gathering and littles exploring. I see seasoned legacies sewing together, and mostly I see joy. I see the beginning of what I hope to be an important part of childhood for every family that either lives in Atlanta or that visits the city. And I see the fingerprints of an incredible community of folks that helped us get here. I am going to spend the next week properly thanking so many of you, because surely one post could never suffice in expressing my gratitude. But today, I just want to say we did it. We know you loved the store but wanted more parking, more security, and more food options around us. That’s all here in South Downtown Atlanta . The doors are open. The shelves are stocked. We’re ready to welcome you in. We’re planning our classes and workshops for the Curious Explorer Zone. There is a world wonder waiting for you and your little. Welcome to Brown Toy Box

Tyler Tyson reacted on thisTyler Tyson reacted on thisSix years ago, I joined McKinsey & Company in the middle of a pandemic. My Wharton graduation was a Zoom call; champagne toasts alone with my fiancee; farewells via FaceTime, as we packed up to return to California. In 2026, I'm leaving the Firm in the middle of an AI revolution. Much has changed in the world. I have a baby on my hip, and an ever-clear conviction that the most important work of our time is now, and it is human. Over my six years at McKinsey, I primarily wore two hats: - As a consultant, I worked alongside senior leaders navigating consequential organizational decisions: how to build the workforce of the future, how to lead through uncertainty, how to develop the people who carry institutional knowledge - As a global operator of our McKinsey People & Organizational Performance practice, I shaped how McKinsey goes to market with our talent and leadership expertise amid an AI-driven workforce transformation — building the infrastructure, the knowledge, and the capabilities that enable our practitioners serve clients at the highest level Both roles reiterated a truth I had felt intuitively: Strategy without people is just a document. In the age of AI, defining what humans bring, and protecting the conditions for them to bring it, is not a ‘fuzzy’ consideration, it is the question. I returned from maternity leave in April to find that demand for this work had never been higher. Leaders were more awake to the stakes of getting the ‘people question’ wrong. The conversation I had spent years preparing for was finally happening at scale. And then my role was eliminated. I won't pretend this wasn’t painful. But I also had to laugh at the irony — an organization that advises on workforce transformation making a workforce transformation decision of its own. I've processed it. I understand it. I’m moving forward. I'm not sure what the next chapter looks like yet, but I am open to the uncertainty in a way I have not always been. What I do know is the impact I want to have: - I want to use my expertise in people — human psychology, interpersonal dynamics, workflow processes to mobilize an organization towards a goal that benefits humanity - I want to work at an organization grappling honestly with AI — not the version in the press release, but the real deal: the power and the potential for harm; the efficiency gains and the human costs; the opportunity and the accountability that comes with it - I want to create pathways for people to deploy their knowledge in ways that benefit society — not just their organization's bottom line - I want to build ecosystems that foster creative thinking, adaptive problem identification, and ethical debate - And I want to help define and protect the core of what makes us human — our judgment, our relationships, our ability to find meaning in what we do — so we feel proud of the future we are building If you are building something where this matters, I would love to talk.

Tyler Tyson liked thisTyler Tyson liked thisOne year ago, I made one of the hardest decisions of my adult life: stepping away from Google after nearly 19 years. Early in my career, someone told me: "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬." I am so glad that turned out to be wrong. Today, my closest inner circle consists of people I met during those two decades. What made my time there truly special wasn't just the opportunity to work with incredible engineers—it was working with some of the kindest, most generous people in tech. I owe an immense debt of gratitude to the mentors who selflessly guided my growth as an engineer, manager, and leader. Passing that guidance along to others was one of the most rewarding parts of my time there. I didn't write a goodbye post when I left. I avoid the spotlight, and processing that departure took time. But better late than never: to everyone I had the privilege to learn from, build with, and grow alongside—thank you. I carry those lessons and lifelong friendships into this next chapter with deep gratitude. #Leadership #Engineering #Mentorship #Gratitude #Google

Tyler Tyson liked thisYou started your small business for freedom, ownership, and flexibility. You quickly learned you traded one boss for a hundred of them, and every one of them is a customer. The freedom shows up only if you build something that runs when you don't. That's the whole game: scale is just revenue growth plus the distance between you and the business. On September 10th, four of us sit down for "Behind the Business: Grow Your Own Way." Four businesses, four completely different growth paths, one honest conversation. Some things on the table: 🔎 How customers find you now that search runs through AI 💰 Pricing, and what we'd each do differently 🧱 Getting out of our own way 🧩 The one hire that changed everything But the panel is the smaller half. The better half is the room - DC, Maryland, and Virginia owners thirty years into a business sitting next to owners three months into an idea. Come with a real question. Leave with two or three people worth texting when something breaks.Tyler Tyson liked thisThe Behind the Business: Grow Your Own Way panel discussion will feature Sasha LeFlore, owner and Managing Partner of Yellowbridge Partners, an investment firm focused on acquiring and growing enduring small businesses. Sasha brings more than 15 years of experience across investing, operations, strategy and leadership, including 10 years at Goldman Sachs where she served as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager. She then went on to serve as CEO of Dion Training Solutions, a private equity-backed cybersecurity education company. At Dion, she helped meaningfully grow the business, while strengthening culture and employee engagement. Today, Sasha partners with founders who are ready to retire but looking to sell to someone who will thoughtfully grow their business, preserve their legacy, and take care of their employees long-term. She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. Tyler Tyson reacted on thisTyler Tyson reacted on thisI’m stepping more fully into my story. While I am more than what I do, entrepreneurship has shaped me in ways I couldn’t have predicted. It stretches you. It refines you. It forces you to grow into the person your work requires. 11 years in. 6 years full-time. And I still find myself balancing two truths at once: I’m always learning, and I’ve built real expertise. That’s the work. Staying teachable while honoring the experience you’ve earned. In the early days, I didn’t have a full portfolio or a team. What I had were relationships, a strong point of view, and people willing to trust me before I could fully show them what I was capable of. That foundation shaped how I approach business to this day. I’ve never seen relationships as transactional. Your reputation, your consistency, and how you show up over time will always matter more than any single deliverable. This piece is the first in a series where I’m sharing more of my story, along with the lessons, insights, and perspectives I’ve gained along the way. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eMiATYhf If you’re building, growing, or navigating your own path, I hope something here resonates.
